My husband needs to fix his credit. I told him to go talk to a credit counselor. He says that he's heard they charge you money and are a rip-off. Anyone know the facts?? Thanks.

Over a year ago, I wrote on Agentsonline.com about real estate values heading lower, and was met with bitter criticism.

It turns out I was right.

If you are open minded and have real estate esperience like I do, then I want to clear the air, once and for all, on several much bandied about real esate quips...like..

1. They're not making any more land. (False...so much vacant land in terrible places around, and technology can build anything on surface, under ground, in the oceans or in air)

2. Property located near water (lakes, streams, coast, etc.) much more valueable and desireable than other property. (However, if earth cliamate changes as expected, what will these properties look like and how desirable????...and what about those sitting twenty miles inland that will be the new coastal areas????)

See, I've heard advice here about buying now, even with falling prices going on, because it will shoot right back up soon.

What do you think?

Then sometimes I dont want it back because the payments were to hight from the start. Isnt it better to file bankruptcy when your young if you have too, since its off your credit report in 7 years? I dont know what to do! But I dont want my credit to be ****** up. I believe filing for Bankruptcy is my best option.

Years ago when I was a little kid I delievered newspapers 6 days a week, then I went to school afterwards. I made quite a bit of money doing this, and every Saturday after counting out the money I made my mother would take me down to the bank and put some of the money in a savings account (which was closed when we moved out of state) and we also bought savings bonds. Different increments, but mainly $100 ones. This was all in Massachusetts. I now live in Pennsylvania, the bank was a small local branch, which had traded hands so many time since moving, and isn't even there anymore. The bonds are missing, between moving so much they were misplaced somewhere years ago, and they have never surfaced. My question is, is there any way for me to track these bonds down, so that I may get my money from them? thank you

I have been a UK expatriate for approximately 8 years, spending no more than 8 weeks in the UK over that period. I will be returning to the UK this year for a short period, no more than 3 months before returning oversees, and will be living in my PPR which was previously on a long term lease. Can I purchase unit trusts in the UK? Will I be liable for any tax in the years to come if I am still an expatriate?
Thanks

So i let my friend use my ebay account and now i have to file income taxes because he has made a payoff of over $2100. I also have financial aid that's $11,000 a year. Will this affect my financial aid? I'm really concerned because i was doing my friend a favor and now there might be some trouble. Are we technically partners on ebay or is it an individual selling market? Please I need serious answers.

My girlfriend is facing eviction because she hasn't paid her rent. The reason? There's no ceiling in her bathroom. It caved in in October due to a leak in the above apartment and neither it nor the leak have been fixed. After repeated messages left on the landlords' machine she finally decided to not pay until it got fixed. Now the landlord is posting eviction notices on her door, threats, etc. She has written letters, left messages and tried to get in contact in person, but no one is ever in the office. She can't really afford a lawyer, what can she do in this situation?

I was in a car accident a couple of months ago and the person that hit me did not have insurance. I had to file the accident on my uninsured motorist insurance. I have been going to the chiropractor since the accident and I am still hurting. I would like to file a pain and suffering suit but I am not sure where to begin. I just noticed the person that hit me bought a brand new car so I know they have full coverage insurance now. Should I consult a lawyer or just let me insurance handle it?

Has this happened to you before?

I was using Bank of America's drive-through ATM and did a fast withdrawal of $40 and the machine released the card and no cash or receipt came out.
I have the funds so that wouldn't be a problem.
I waited and the screen read the usual thank you for using BOFA and so on, but no cash or receipt.

Did this happen to you?

Also, does anyone remember. when using BofA ATM's. do you usually have to remove the cash before the machine will release the card or is it the other way around?

Thank you.

p.s. I just checked my account online and the $40 is not there yet. I'll wait and see if it shows.

I was walking through a common area about three months ago and I saw a "Ran out of...." board in the kitchen. It listed a product and underneath it, it said "mexicans". I was offended and took it to the company's HR director and they said that the person had been dealt with. About three weeks ago, I witnessed a fight between our security person and a vendor. After separating them, I had asked the security person to give me his side of the event. He told me everything that happened but left out the part that he struck the person and I called him on it. I saw that he had struck the person and I wasn't going to lie about it, especially since the police were called. I told him that I would not alter the incident report. He then said, "Well, you're going to write whatever you want because you'll protect him (the vendor) because you're MEXICAN just like he is." I was shocked that this had happened a second time and reported him. He was fired. I applied for a different position.
