Has this happened to you before?

I was using Bank of America's drive-through ATM and did a fast withdrawal of $40 and the machine released the card and no cash or receipt came out.
I have the funds so that wouldn't be a problem.
I waited and the screen read the usual thank you for using BOFA and so on, but no cash or receipt.

Did this happen to you?

Also, does anyone remember. when using BofA ATM's. do you usually have to remove the cash before the machine will release the card or is it the other way around?

Thank you.

p.s. I just checked my account online and the $40 is not there yet. I'll wait and see if it shows.

I used the Bank of American ATM Machine last night. It releases the money first and then the receipt. It will then either have you choose to return the card or make another transaction.

Bank Of America Atm Problems

Before you contact B of A, wait a few days to see if it shows on your account. In my experience, you have to take the money before it gives you your card. And also, if you make an ATM transaction, it immediately shows up online as a pending transaction.

My guess is that it is a new machine with some bugs, so next time try a different ATM or tell the bank manager that their ATM isn't working.

I really suggest you contact Bank of America to get credit for money you did not recieve.

Although it is extremely difficult to prove you didn't recieve cash from the machine, hopefully there is camera footage they can review. Make sure you have information ready as to which branch/ATM this occurred at.

Maybe you'll get someone nice on the phone who'll just take your word for it and credit you the $40.
