I have some things that I want to pawn, but I want to know about how much to expect for the stuff. The first item is a lead crystal Christmas tree made in Germany (about 12 inches tall and 5 inches wide), it's heavy and very pretty. The second item is a lead crystal star-shaped jewelry holder also made in Germany (about the size of the palm of your hand). And the third item is a candle/champagne glass that I bought it in France. It has purple gel/wax inside the glass with a little statue of the Eiffel Tower. So once the candle goes out, it's a usable wine/champagne glass. So, does anyone have an ESTIMATED amount that I can expect to get for these at a pawn shop?

I bought a $300.000 condo in Concord, CA. Zero down. For 7 months I paid every bill on time - mortgages, HOA and taxes until... "TAXCO Condominiums Association" told us that we MUST pay $20.500 special assessment.

My realtor had told me nothing about possible coming special assessment. I lived from paycheck to paycheck and had to leave the property.

I didn't pay ANY bills until my property was foreclosed by "Deutsche Bank National Trust Company" on 11-16-2006.

Today, AFTER ONE YEAR it was foreclosed, I received a letter from "Allied Trustee Services." They say that I owe "prior the date when the property was foreclosed... delinquent in payment of the assessments, late charges..." $24.773.08

I can agree that I owe HOA monthly payments until the property was foreclosed but special assessment?

They told me they gonna bring me to court. Can they? What should I do? Fight with them? Go bankrupt? What about the HOA monthly payments that I owe? How can I separate this payment, should I?

I had no choice but to use them, to get me out of a 20% intrest rate, how long after I get out will it take to get my credit back to good?? I know you take a credit hit by using this service, they told me they have programs for mortgages, and personal loans once you complete the program. Your thoughts?

discuss the validity of the above statement with reference to technical analysis and fundamental analysis.

Been doing some searching because I just don't understand WHY everyone keeps saying to make a video and post it on youtube. I can see some of the keywords people use to find my site and when I put them into google, I come up with links to blogs, myspace, wordpress, individual websites and SOME youtube videos. But not all videos.

So my question is, other than giving others the option to SEE and HEAR you, why is video marketing the marketing of choice these days?

Or is it just another option?

I guess that I've always considered shopping at these places as "a charitable contribution" because I can get the items new elsewhere. I just think that its a great charity to help support so I try to do as much there as possible. But I've never claimed all the money that I put towards that on my taxes. I was told I could by someone at work but they're not an expert so i thought I would try and get a solid answer. Anyone have any insight?

Ok last year was the first year we claimed our daughter. I have made a little bit more this year than last due to a raise. My husband quit his job Oct. 2006 and got a new job Feb. 2007 and got fired from that job Nov. 2007. He made less money at that job. My question is should we be expecting the same amount we got last year or more? Do you basically get the same amount a year when you claim a kid? Thanks

hi, as i am the only earner in my home me and my partner applied for council tax benefit and rent benefit and was granted it a few months back. one month i had to do three courses for work and was paid overtime for this . they have now stopped my benefit as they say i earn too much. ( they used that payslip to calculate my earnings) i have had a written letter from my employer stating that i was paid extra this particular month and it was not my wage normally. i also took down statements and payslips showing that since that month my pay had returned to its original low amount. they looked at out claim again and still said that the letter proved nothing and was a business expense that i had to meet.( made no sense to me either) we have now appealed but havent any reply for a month. any advice ? i'm not entitled to working tax credit as i'm 23 and have no kids. they also failed to note that since then my rent has increased.. grrrrrrrrr

I have been through divorce, legal expenses with a delinquent child and medical expenses with another child. I have struggled with bills but managed to keep my family fed & housed. Now I am divorced, my delinquent child has finally grown up & my medically challenged child has become an adult & has married and now I would like to get a home of my own. Is it at all possible? Or am I destined to be a renter forever?

Background info: I'm 23, financially independent- renting a house, currently paying student loans (and i will attend medical school next fall), and have a car that i am paying off. Today I obtained my free credit reports and FICO score- i'm at 744 ("Very Good"). I found, from my reports, that I had a number of credit cards- most never used- mostly from department stores. I called and canceled them immediately. Now the only thing current on my credit report should be the things mentioned above (and 2 other cards). Could it HURT my credit to have taken those established (some of them 3+ years old) off my report, even if they were never used? There is nothing "negative" reported on my reports- never been late on a payment etc. Thanks for your help!!

I'm wondering after receiving a letter from a credit collection agency stating I owe a past due balance from an account w/ a dept. store 14 years ago that I don't remember anyway, do I need to worry about them pursuing me for this? It's accrued $1,000 in interest from a 950.00 balance in 1993. It's not even on my credit report, can they still go after me????

I have a friend that started a job and was promised a pay of $2200 a month. She will be selling vaccum cleaners. The vaccum is a Kirby and sells for a whopping $3000. Considering her pay and the cost of the vaccum I began to be concerned so I checked out the Better Buisness Bureau. The complaint read as follows:
The BBB processed a total of 3 complaints about this company in the last 36 months, our standard reporting period. Of the total 3 complaints in the last 36 months, 1 of those was closed in the past 12 months.
Complaints Concerned
Sales Practice Issues: 3
Outcome of all complaints -
Resolved: 1; Administratively Closed: 1; No Response: 1
I suppose these complaints don't mean much considering there weren't that many and they've been in buisness since 1999. I'm mainly worried because my friend is dealing with CPS and trying to get financially stable to get her child back. Maybe I'm worrying too much. Is there any other investigating I could do?
