I've been working for an overnight pharmacy for the past 2 months now, and I'm making a return back to school. I currently make 8.75/hr, but when I first got the job my manager said the pay ranged from 8.50-9.00. I blurted "8.75". As in not to seem greedy. A few weeks after that conversation, I reconsidered, and was about ask mngt. for the extra quarter, but I caught the flu and was out for three days (with doctors note). And because I missed those days I lost my nerve.

How should I approach this if I ask?

I'm in southern California looking to borrow $260K in loan amount. I've looking around for various lenders with the best interest-rate. I see there are banks (Wamu, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, etc) and then there are lending companies that also do pre-approval. Well, I was using LendingTree and found matches that were with lenders outside of my state. One of which is Advance Mortgage Corp.

Now, what I don't understand is, how does this work if I can't meet with them face-to-face in my area? So, I can be pre-approved by a company in Utah, but how will the finanicial work if they're not a bank? I'm confused on how national lending company works.

I am a minor. Therefore, I cannot open a checking account, at least with the three banks i have asked at.
My mother has bad credit, and has had a bankruptcy.
Therefore, a bank will not let me get a checking account that has her name on it, because of her credit.

Is there any way to get around this?
I need a credit/debit card to pay for college applications, and other costs...

I don't need a savings acocunt, because they put too many limits on them...

Any help is greatly apprecitated.

I live in Utah and the SOl is four years for revolving accounts. I have two collectors--one from 11 years ago and one that has no date on my credit report and has not verified the debt per requests. I know both debts are over 4 years old since the date of last activity. They cannot attempt to collect now right? I had one call today and threaten to sue (yeah right) and said that my current address was from 12 years ago, yet she called me at my mother's phone number. Neither of these companies can collect now right? I had one two years ago file suit against me with my affidavit "answers" already filled in for me--needless to say I crossed all those out and filled in NO to everything. Never heard back from them again.

The reason I am asking is that I only have 4 things on my credit report. The one mentioned above with no dates attached, one current in good standing, and two closed accounts. All of which is due to drop off next year. How can they attempt to collect now?

I got a credit card 5 months after my 18th brithday and I told myself to only use it to buy something for like $15 and then pay it off. My car started to mess up and I had to take it to the shop. I'm full-time student and I work part-time so I don't have money laying around to fix my car so I used my credit card. My car needed a starter which was over $400 because of labor and a oil change. So short and simple I put it on my credit card and i haven't charged anything since (this was in september). The minuim payment is $20 each month (it's a student card) but I pay $50 three days before due date to avoid intrest charges (there have been none). My question is having this balance on my card and not charging anything new, how is it affecting my credit score. Is my credi score just staying the same or going up?

Trying to do research on the companies I want to interview with in my industry... some are smaller and do not have a website. Other than knowing what they do, how does one find out about THEIR company stability, work ethics, etc before being called to be interviewed? Thanks in advance!!

I just purchased my first house, I'm putting 96.00 in my 401k every two weeks, and once all my bills are paid, I have roughly $180.00 left over per week to do whatever. What should I do with it? That is factoring in the fact that I spend about 40.00/week in gas, and about 40/week in food. I'm trying to save as much as I can. I want to retire when I'm in my 50's. I'm 25 now. Thanks!

I paid my rent for 2 years on time-never late. I left the house in better condition than when I moved in. The day I moved out, I hired Stanley Steamer to clean my carpets. 3 months later, I am informed by Century 21 that the carpet molded and all the carpet must be replaced because the water was not removed adequately by Stanley Steamer. They kept my deposit and are demanding $1500 more! They said that if I want Stanley Steamer to pay, I need to sue them, but until then I am responsible.....anyone have any advice?

My boyfriend filed taxes last year after his dad did. He tried to claim himself and basically was told that since he was already claimed that he had to re-do it. Well he has since moved out, but his dad still plans on claiming him. What's the earliest that you can have your taxes done? He wants to get his done first so that his dad can't claim him this year. Also, how much do places usually charge to do your taxes for you? Thanks!

I may be receiving a promotion at work, which would entail some work from home as well as some weekends. I heard that in similar cases, I can do something like purchase a computer for the "home-work" that I will be doing, and have my corporation pay for it?

Is this true? Where can I find more details? Thanks!
