I have been rebuilding my credit since June. I was in the 400's. I am proud to say that I now have a 660. I know this isn't great, but I am still working hard to keep it up. I have paid off everything on my credit except for my car, and I disputed two things on my credit with all credit bureaus b/c of fraud. (family member) Anyway, my husband and I were applying for a construction loan through Home America Mortgage (not the one going bankrupt), and they use CBC Innovis as the company doing their credit reports. Anyway, we were approved but the LO said that on my credit report it came up as Multiple Disputes On File and that until it was removed, there was nothing they could do. I don't know what report they look at and if they see something totally different than what I see. All disputes were resolved with each bureau and I called and was told that the disputes were closed.Does anyone know how I can get this removed? I really want to be on the loan b/c I have worked so hard. Help!

I am being offered a consulting job in Nigeria for about 12 working days; however this also would include spending two unpaid weekends there. I've worked for other companies and they would pay for a flight home every weekend. I would be ok with spending one weekend there, but two unpaid weekends seems like I'm being taken for granted. Any advice?

I am an American living in the UK. I need to file an 2006 income tax form for the money I have made while living here. I will not have to pay any tax on it, I just have to file for records purposes and for my British wife's visa application. (we are moving to Virginia)

Just over a month ago, I bought some software from an on-line vendor to include on a web-site that I'm designing. Unfortunately, the software didn't work completely (it was an emailing application which didn't email to all addresses or receive from all addresses).

Anyway, the support for this product was through a paid messageboard forum. I signed up for the forum and at first the vendor spent a fair bit of time trying to fix the problem but eventually the replies dried up (despite numerous posts from me) and he stopped replying to my emails (ones to the address he had given me and through his sites Contact Us screen).

At this point, I decided to try to reclaim the money through Paypal's dispute console. I've raised a dispute for the subscription to the forum but unfortunately, I was a day late to reclaim the money for the software (you have 45 days to dispute, I think).

The dispute has been raised for 4 days and still I've heard nothing back so I wonder ... what should I do next? This isn't a lot of money (25 US Dollars) but it's the principle that bothers me!

Also, I have noticed that all my threads have been removed from his support forum.

Next year when i go to do my tax returns, will my return be affected by unpaid property taxes. Earlier last year a buddy of mine and I bought a house together in Sacramento, Ca and my buddy ended up stealing the money we had and moved out of state leaving the house to go to default. I've received many notices in the mail about unpaid property taxes- and I am worried because I cannot pay them- if when I go to do my income taxes to get a return if the unpaid taxes on my property will affect my income tax returns? Will I have to owe?? Please give me a good answer!! Thanks!!
Also can the people who control unpaid property taxes put a lien on your checking account and take money out?

I am single and bought a house this year. The total amount of interested I paid for the house will be $2500 and about $4000 in closing costs.

I paid about $1500 in state taxes and $1000 for city tax.

I might make over $50000...would that put me in a higher tax bracket? Is there a site that you can find all this information??? Thanks for the help guys!!!

i recently received a citation from a collection agency stating that i owed $3,128 to them. they've enlisted an attorney in delaware, while they (collection agency) are in dallas county (tx) and i'm in collin county (tx).
i plan to go in to court and sign a written disagreement with this citation. (either you say you agree or disagree that you owe to the plaintiff)

am i making the right decision?

(this debt began in 1999, the last charge on the card was in 1999
it has not been 6 years since last payment was rendered on the account and sent to collection agency)

Okay well they all SUPPLY A DEMAND and I think there are only 3 ways to do it successfully. Supply a demand better in ways than your competition i.e. such as low prices. Supply a demand DIFFERENTLY than your competition i.e. take (Jones soda) they supply pop but it tastes different. LASTLY supply a NEW demand i.e. one that hasn't been supplied yet. :) what do people think ??????????????

Ok, I work in a small Optometry business that only has 3 employees, the Optometrist/Owner, a Trainee and myself, and I'm only getting $29,000 Aus. dollars a year. Someone's suggested I apply for a job with a building company earning +$40,000 a year. I really would like to try to go for it, but I feel I am obligated to my current employer.

I feel he deserves more than a quick letter of resignation and 2 weeks notice, especially this time of year. Does anyone have any advice on some ways I could go about it?
