Just over a month ago, I bought some software from an on-line vendor to include on a web-site that I'm designing. Unfortunately, the software didn't work completely (it was an emailing application which didn't email to all addresses or receive from all addresses).

Anyway, the support for this product was through a paid messageboard forum. I signed up for the forum and at first the vendor spent a fair bit of time trying to fix the problem but eventually the replies dried up (despite numerous posts from me) and he stopped replying to my emails (ones to the address he had given me and through his sites Contact Us screen).

At this point, I decided to try to reclaim the money through Paypal's dispute console. I've raised a dispute for the subscription to the forum but unfortunately, I was a day late to reclaim the money for the software (you have 45 days to dispute, I think).

The dispute has been raised for 4 days and still I've heard nothing back so I wonder ... what should I do next? This isn't a lot of money (25 US Dollars) but it's the principle that bothers me!

Also, I have noticed that all my threads have been removed from his support forum.

Just sit tight. PP have a habit of refunding back to you when there is no response from the seller, so you should be lucky!

Hello,

(ANS) I really sympathize with your situation & this kind of scenario is an increasingly common problem when trading over the internet. I think you just have to write this off this time & put it down to experience. I know its the principal involved here but if you let it get under your skin it will drive you crazy trying to get your $25 back.

**My sincere advise to you is LET IT GO!! now & write it off.

**Learn from this situation & try to be more careful in future when trading or buying software especially from online companies.

seriously,I would put it behind me and consider it lost, and be more cautious as to who you buy from in the future, dont lose any sleep over it.
If you did want to take it further,is there any consumer programmes to help you?.as in the UK,we have the Stephen Rhodes consumer programme where they give both sides a chance to respond,or they shame them over the radio.
good luck

is the 25 bucks really worth all the time and effort you are putting into it. principle has it's place, but not for something so trivial. chalk it up to experience and move on.
