Trying to do research on the companies I want to interview with in my industry... some are smaller and do not have a website. Other than knowing what they do, how does one find out about THEIR company stability, work ethics, etc before being called to be interviewed? Thanks in advance!!

Check with the contacts you have in your industry. They may know things that are not well known publicly.

An example in my industry was a local insurance agent who had high turnover with his employees because of his management style (or lack thereof). Everyone in the industry was well aware of the reputation of the agency yet this was not anything that industry outsiders would know through news stories or Better Business Bureau reports.

You can check your local business journal or newspaper to find articles about the company. What kind of reputation do they have in the community. Check the BBB website to see how they are rated.
