I went to the car wash near my house and the sign on the box says that they are required to charge tax on a purchase using a credit card but not on the cash purchases- I think they are driving up the cost to cover the cost of someone using the credit card- I've never heard of such a thing

I work for a beverage co. we install and repair soda fountain machines at restaurants.
My question is since I go to a lot of restaurants there must be something I can sell the restaurant owner. I go to atleast 8 restaurants per week.
Do you have any ideas?
not restaurant insurance though , because I have tried that , it is a hard sell most restaurants already have that.
I dont't have to make alot of money just something that i can make a few extra dollars on the side.
We service anything from small mom & pop stores to major chains like Mcdonalds, Fancy places in beverly holes , bars and hotels.
There must be something I can sell.

I’m a foreigner, UK resident high skilled; 4 years ago my work-permit expired and my new one get “lost” in the mail; took me 3 years to get a new one – long history short: 1 defaulted bank account, 1 defaulted loan and 1 defaulted credit card. Total owed = £15000.
This year manage to get back no my feet, have already savings about £30000 and battling to decide to pay off my defaulted accounts or not. 2 years more and will reach the statute of limitation … in other hand if I pay I will probably wake up the Lion … and to be honest, the third: the pain experienced then, when no creditor would take my arguments and give me a “payment holiday”…Pay on Not?

Do bosses try to make people feel bad about themselves so that those people will feel that they would not be of any value anywhere else? Or are they just on power trips?

I'm biding my time and saving up my down payment, but want to buy when the market is at its absolute worst. I'm hoping that's in the next 6 months, but am willing to wait up to a year.

Has anyone purchased foreclosed real estate? I'm hoping to get a great deal on a repossessed property that a bank just needs to off load.

I try to keep my calm in most situations at work. Basically "never let them see you sweat". A co-worker sent me an email that maybe on any other day would have been fine. But not today. It's been a bad week and I when I read her blow off email. I let my temper get the better of me. However what I said was true, but I didn't have to say it that way. What should I do?

I have asked a few questions here before and got some really good advise from people....so here is the situation. I am in the army and just came down on orders to move across the country. I have very little equity and $20k in debt, my credit is 700 give or take 5, and I might be able to put $2000 for a downpayment. I want to purchase a property around Fort Benning, GA and move into it and then sell my current house in Fort Lewis, WA once the pros come through and fully clean it up. Is there a way to do this? If yes can you elaborate a little please. Thanks

y called a probationary period. Both just said the position was not working out. I went in and turned both places around for the better and was told every day that I was doing an outstanding job. Up until I was supposed to be permanent I get "let go. I don't understand this. I thought that employers basically drooled over veterans. What type of job would have security that Im used to and the pay that Im used to? What are some reasons that employers might do this? Do other veterans have the same problems?

I looked at every question that was posted and none spoke to this situation. I got divorced from my wife 2 months ago and cant afford to live at my place anymore. She took herself off the lease and left me on, and I have to pay 1800 bucks to break the lease. so my question is what happens if I dont pay the 1800 dollars when I leave early? does it go on my credit or go to collections? and also I know how I could get purposely evicted, just by having someone not on the lease live with me. is that better to do and have on my record then an 1800 charge? I've already looked into roommates or subleasing. No go. any help or insight or experience appreciated.
