It's not mandatory to incorporate a business. You can sell as a sole proprietor with no problem and save the fees of incorporation as well as double taxation - first as a corporation and second when you take money out for yourself.

As a small business, sole proprietor is the way to go.

No you don't. Incorporating your business just means that the money that you make goes to the company and not you. The company will give you a pay check. Its a great thing to do if you are not sure if it is going to succeed because if the company goes under it will not affect your credit rating because it is not owned by you. I would talk to an accountant to see if being incorporated is the right thing to do for you. If is working very well for us.
