so i found out my ex gf has for the past two years filed joint taxes. I have been filing them myself. Will I get in trouble for this? Is there someone I should contact about this. This girl is crazy, she really thought we were married and went as far as filing for divorce to try and get my now wife to leave me.

im thinking about buying a couple of shares of google as a possible investment for my sons (10 and 4 years old). im not looking to become a pro at the stock market, and am only interested in buying a max of around (4) shares. i notice google is doing some pretty cool stuff and it appears they are heading in the right direction. however, @ $600+ a share, i want to be pretty confident that there is no news out there of impending doom for google that im not aware of.

Has anyone ever had trouble with Npower.They have been trying to snatch us from our own energy suppliers who we have been with for a long time.Npower have admitted to us on paper that their representative fraudulently signed us up as customers.I think we have got rid of them at last,but it took a long time.Would like to know if anyone else has had trouble like this from them.

Assume all service-work done under DBA is done in the same state of residence. Is necessary to file new DBA in new state (MD)? Or do I keep old DBA and remain obligated to pay state income tax to old state (NY)?

I moved into a house last year with some friends. We told the landlord, but he never prepared a lease for me to sign. My roommates who had been living there for a year before had already signed the lease for the year we were supposed to live there. Unfortunately, they had misread the lease, which put the rent at a rate that we couldn't afford. The landlord was reasonable, and lowered rent for us. There was a lot of confusion because there were five of us, and it seems he told each of us different things. Suddenly, he demanded he hadn't lowered rent to such a low rate, and demanded we pay the difference for those months we had payed. My one roommate moved out, and all of us followed suit because she was the only one on the lease at this time. Our landlord later said that we had a verbal agreement for the lease, and that we all owe him rent for the rest of the year. He called me once, and I think he recorded me saying I lived there. It's been nearly a year since we moved out.

My husband and I originally signed our lease in July, 2006. We were moving into a neighborhood with a highly volatile turnover in ownership, and I was concerned with that when I signed the lease. In the lease, it is stated that the house can only be shown 30 days prior to the end of the lease. When we re-upped the lease in 2007, we only signed an amendment indicating the original lease was still intact and that the rate has increased. Now, the landlord is selling, and there is a lockbox outside my door! Do I have the right to termintate my lease based on the statment in the original lease? The landlord wants to keep the security deposit, while I feel he has violated the spirit of the contract, so I feel he has not been "injured". Any advice?

I bought a money order, filled it out with the name of the business it was intended for, and wrote my name and address on it . I made a photocopy, and I left the money order in the copy machine . That was the last time I saw it . In order for somebody to cash it, he'd have to cross out the name of the business it was intended for, and wrote his own name on it . That would look mighty fishy, and I'd expect cashing it to be next to impossible at that point . Is it possible to cash a stolen money order ?

If I was to practice Adverse Possession would that put me at a high risk of going to jail/prison or am I protected due to Adverse Possession / rights for housing? What would I have to do to ensure I would NOT go to jail or have my possessions seized without prior warning/knowledge? Ok, was supposed to go for drug test on monday and start work on tuesday, but they post poned it. so supposed to come in on tuesday for drug test and start work on wednesday.

i come in on tuesday...and they had no drug test paper work...soooo... come back on wednesday, take drug test, start work on Thursday....

by now.. i am beginning to get sniffles, and cough... I come in on Wednesday, feeling like crud and coughing, they give me paper work, i go take drug test.... by that evening, i am sick as a dog...full blown bronchitis.

Supposed to start this new job on Thursday. As I said, they saw me in there each day, a little sicker each time.

Now supposed to start work, but I am SICK! I mean hackin up really bad stuff, cant hardly breathe, body aches, head aches, the whole sha-bang sick!!!

Do I call in sick on my FIRST day of work> or go ahead and come in and suffer thru it as best as possible and expose everyone??

What would YOU have done?
