Has anyone ever had trouble with Npower. They have been trying to snatch us from our own energy suppliers who we have been with for a long time.Npower have admitted to us on paper that their representative fraudulently signed us up as customers.I think we have got rid of them at last, but it took a long time.Would like to know if anyone else has had trouble like this from them.

You have written evidence that they attempted fraud, so they are plainly in the wrong .. document all the letters / phone calls you made and tot up the time at minimum wage (or average wage of a admin. clerk, if known) plus cost of calls, stamps etc.

Then send them an Invoice for the costs you incurred plus a demand for compensation for stress and worry they caused (I suggest you ask for at least £100) & give them 14 days to pay.

If they fail to pay, go to Small Claims court with a copy of the evidence and your invoice and spend another £38 odd quid taking out a summons .. then tip off the local newspapers ...

Even if they dispute it chances are they will pay up before any hearing (since sending some-one to defend the case will cost them a lot more than the couple of hundred quid you are claiming) .. and furthermore they will NOT want a Legal Precedent that forces them to pay compensation to thousands of others)
