Since they were in his name only, is my mother responsable for paying off my fathers debt? If Mom does not pay Dad's monthly credit card bill will this effect Mom's credit? Mom is 82 Years old and might need a loan for funeral & burial costs & /or a reverse mortgage. Will not paying her husbands credit card debt adversly affect her credit & chances for a loan when needed? House has been in an irrevocable trust for 4 years. Mom has no assets . Minimal amount in savings $4000.00 with monthly $950.00 SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK & $400.00 pension check. That's it .Nothing more & nothing else. Dad was the only name on the cards & if there were charges made to these cards while he was alive & were his wife's or daughter's charges are they responsible for repayment? Dad had also sighned a notorized letter stating that his daughter and wife has, had, and have the right to use and sign his name to the account now, and in the past and in the future. Now there are No charges after his death. Default?

I'm starting up a new internet business editing students essays, and I'd like to put a disclaimer on my website. It's a pretty simple one, and I've found information about what needs to go in it based on the disclaimers used on similar sites. Am I able to write the disclaimer myself or should it be written by a lawyer? Being a brand new business, and also a home based, part-time business, I don't think I can afford a lawyer!

I have had my loans in forebearance for about 2 years thinking I would get a better job. Well, I actually lost my job at the bank I was working so now I am going down the criminal justice route. Anyways, my monthly payment is going to be about $400. I am just making ends meet now with a few nights out here and there. How does everyone do it? I sometimes don't really see why I went to the trouble to get a degree. Do you guys find it hard paying your loan each month?

so i worked at a McDonald's in a mall for 2 months n my probabtion ended but they didnt want me to come back because fast enough. I'm still confused about it. I would love to write that at least I had SOME WORK EXPERIENCE but telling future employers the real answer would be too embrassing and lessen my chances of employment, right? yet I want to try to apply for other McDonald's(not mall ones) so I have a feeling they would hire me but then if they ask why I dont work there any more I dont know what I would say. What do you think about all these? should I apply anyways? most likely some McDonald that i'll apply to will call me for an inteview since i have some experience but then i'd be worried if they dont hire me just because i worked for so little and wasnt good enough in the previous place and you know, fast food is all about being fast! but I now learned my mistake and I feel like if I had another chance, I would not make the same mistakes and actually be better!

I have been a professional video editor for two years for a small company that does weddings, school events, and corporate videos. My salary is only $26,000 whereas the market rate for the work I am doing (not just video work...I know Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and created the website for this company as well as manage the hosting, edit photos, as well as tak photos at weddings)...anyway, the market rate for my education/skill is $45-$50K.

Here's the catch, this company doesn't have any more money..I am the sole employee of my boss, and do about 70-80% of the work.

Should I find a new job? This guy will go under if I leave, so I don't want to do that, but I cannot demand more money since money isn't there! What do I do?

I just found out that my Mom used my name on some bills (I was a minor at the time) and now those bills are in collections. What should I do. I am 26, married with a two year old son. We are working on paying off student loans and clearing our own debts. What should I do. She is my mother! I would expect this from a stranger, a common criminal, not my own mother!

I want him to pay for the stress he's caused me and how much BS I had to deal with while renting from him. I still have 2 weeks until I get my deposit back (if I even get it back) and he's not calling me back to verify he received the house keys that I dropped off. This man is the devil - seriously! Below are a list of problems I've had:

1. Entering my apartment without notice on multiple occassions.
2. No smoke detector installed when I moved in. I noticed this four months afterwards and it took him another month to install.
3. Didn't fix two walls he agreed to when I moved in (but it wasn't in the lease that he would do this).
4. Never returns my calls when I need something.
5. Had mail sent to my address for the parents of a student not in my city's school district. Then got mad at me and told me to look for a new place to live when I told him I wasn't going to accept the mail.

He is IMPOSSIBLE and I want him to pay. I don't care how. I want revenge. HELP!

They have accepted the terms of my insurance up until this point in my pregnancy, now they are saying that my insurance does not pay them enough for their services and may or may not see me through the full term and follow up care. Aren't they obligated to see me through to the end of this pregnancy and follow up before dropping me?
