After tilling the yard, I found a St. Joseph statue in my yard. I guess it was left by the previous owners. I've lived in my house for 8-1/2 years already.

Did research and found out why St. Joseph statues are buried in yards prior to selling a house. I'm not Catholic and had never heard of this until now. I don't even believe in praying to Saints.

What am I supposed to do with this statue?

say if 'X' options were granted at 'D' dollars. Now when the share price becomes say 'D+10' dollars, the company announces a 2 to 1 split making the proce ('D+10')/2 $ . This for sure is less than the 'D' that was initially granted. How is this situation handled?

Do you think I have a chance of buying a house for 30k less than the listing price, from a bank, in Michigan?? (our market is horrible).

The house has a lot of updates. But the sump pump is broken. The basement has some flooding. The furnance and water heater work, but need replacing. Other than that, there are minor issues with the house. It has no appliances and is missing a toilet in one of the bathrooms. Looks like investors walked away from the project. Aesthetically, it's beautiful.

it just bothers me how you always hear there's a nursing shortage problem. and being college bound i plan to take up nursing. then you're informed that the nursing program at the school you're planning to attend is impacted.

and its not only one specific school but most schools in california. i know there are a multitude of problems our society faces but healthcare should be a major priority. in major cities like Los Angeles and Long Beach, shouldnt they put an emphasis on healthcare and try to combat teh nursing shortage by expanding teh nursing programs?

your thoughts?

I signed up for a plan with verizon residential a while back. i made my payments in full and on time every month with no problems. i had the plan for about 3 months or so before i got a bill in the mail saying i owed like $200 for internet service i "supposedly" haven't been paying for this whole time. they are telling me my past $70 monthly payments i had been making was JUST for phone service?!? NO! anyway, i changed my service to another company and called to cancel. the representative i spoke with said he saw the mistake and if i stayed with verizon, he would credit the account in full for the wrongful charges. but because i didn't stay with them, they would NOT credit my account. now they are trying to collect. the "collection representative" i spoke with said right now there would be no "consequences" but if i did not make payment, they would basically put this on my credit. i want to fight this crap. what should i do?

My job consists of going door to door sellng Cable TV. Knocking on apartment doors is easy, because people are always moving in and moving out. However selling to home owners is much more difficult. They don't move as often and you have to catch them when they are home. I leave literature but they don't call back. I don't want to walk arund for 8 hours a day in the cold. Where can I find more leads or more creative ways to sale cable. Most of the apartments in our area have been overworked by my coworkers. Any ideas on where I can find more leads? My company has it's favorites and is not willing to help.
