When we looked at the house, we noticed the pet odor, but I assumed it would be gone when the pets are gone. Now we've got the keys, cleaned the floors and walls twice but the house still smells like cat pee and we can't walk in without being nauseated. Is that something the seller should have taken care of? Should we have asked them to get ridof the smell before we signed the contract? What can we do to get rid of the smell!?!?! We CAN'T live there with that odor!!

My wife has a friend who has come into some legal trouble. Nothing extremly bad, but some things that may make it so she loses her license to operate her three day cares. If this does happen she has asked up to take over ownership until she has her problems resolved. She's a good friend and we're more than happy to help if we can, but the question is what kind of tax liability are my wife and I looking at in this situation? Also if anyone knows, is there some kind of custiodial ownership out there that will prevent us from having to deal with any of these issues.

there's this man in my country. he's in malaysia (which is next to singapore in the south-east asia).

he works as a CEO/managing director/executive director and owns 10% of his company on paper but 90% literally.

he has a swimming pool, a river and two waterfalls for his exterior design of his house.
his first house costs RM 3.5 million + 2 million (for furniture) = 5.7 million ringgit. in the US, it costs 1.7 million bucks.
his second house costs RM 1 + RM 2 million (for furniture) = RM 3 million ringgit. in the US, it costs around 1 million bucks.
he has a few other houses which costs around 500,000 dollars - 1 million dollars altogether.

his wife owns TONS of couture clothes.

he owns 8 computers in total, 10 televisions altogether, 9 telephones and a few bunch of stuff.

he takes a loan, too and spends approx $165,000 for 4 of his elder children and nearly $40,000 for his 2 younger ones. he also has 3 cars.

is he considered middle-class/upper-class/mega rich in the US?

I have a contract with a couple, where I have leased my home to them under the agreement they were to obtain fianancing within a certain amount of time. Therefore, they have been making payments, not on time, and as of the other day they wish to sell the property and have moved out of the home. I explained to them, they can't sell the property becasue they don't own it. My question is, do I have the right to enter the home to see if they have moved out all of their possessions? I still have a key and can't see into the windows to verify they have moved. I am concerned that they have "trashed" the home and have utilities disconnected, therefore with the cold weather could do damage to the pipes, etc...I have obtained legal advice on the idea they wish to sell the property, I just need to know if they have completely moved out so I can take further steps to annull the lease. Has anyone have any advice?

I just recently got an offer for a job that I applied for. Everything sounds really good except I feel that they "low-balled" me on the salary. I went through a series of interviews in which they gave me a range of salary that I would make, which was $36k - $40k. Now they originally told me that they would definitely want me to make a little more than I previously did at my old job which was $36k, so I would probably make $38k. This was fine with me, although I was looking in the $40k range. Now, when the boss called me she said she was calling to negotiate salary and to give me the details on everything. She asked me how much I made before, which was $36k, and then said they would start me at $36k and I would be elligible to receive possible raises of 3% every six months until I reach median range salary, which is $44k. I was told to think about everything over night and give a call to her tommorrow. I was just wondering if I should ask for $38k and how I should say it

I purchased a house about a month ago. The agreement was that the current owner would vacate in 30 days and I could move in on November 9th. Their real estate agent called me today and said that the owner hadn't removed the remainder of their belongings yet and wouldn't be able to do so by the 9th (they have moved accross the country and plans fell through to travel back to collect the rest of their belongings.) My real estate agent is out of town and nobody else from the agency has called me back to advise me! Their agent wants me to accept rent and push back my move in date until November 19th! This is just EXTREMELY inconvienient. I'm renting a furnished apartment week to week right now and its very expensive! I have a whole mess of new furniture and small appliaces being delivered to the house on November 9th and have arrange for utilities to be installed on that date. To top it all off I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I need to get my home set up! What do I do? What can I do?

I have already changed my career three times and I feel like such a flake. I have made some poor choices in the past in terms of career moves and I wonder not only if I am too old, but also if my track record of changing careers will count against me.

Don't get me wrong, I have excelled at every job I have ever had, even awarded at several. I have even worked in several different types of jobs in several different countries but I have never been particularly happy at any of the jobs I have had. Even as of today, I feel like I just want a regular job that makes a lot of money so I can simply pay my bills and take care of my family. Not very altruistic but I am just being honest. What is a confused, middle aged man to do?

I know that businesses are in it to make money but is anyone else sick of the whole cross sale business.
You know you want a pair of jeans and they try and sell you a belt or shirt, you buy shoes and they try and sell you spray for them etc...

It's everywhere - from Mcdonalds "upsize/fries?" to Banks - "insurance/credit card?"

I am so sick of it.. How many people actually get caught up by most of these things and has there ever been a time where you have felt pressured into actually taking the cross sell.

Businesses need to look after thier customers and help them not SELL them things they don't really need.

From now on i am going to start my own rating system and reward businesses who don't cross sell and thumbs down for those who pressure sell.
