I am working on a case study. I am given financial information, including a balance sheet and cash flow statement, on a couple. One of the questions is "What is the PITI percentage?" I can't seem to find what this stands for in my book; therefore, of course I can't even calculate it. Thanks for your help!!!

I'm asking my boss to do this...does this sound good?
I was thinking of starting an "Office Stair Climb" contest. A lot of people take the elevator in the office and the benefits of taking the stairs far outweighs the elevator. Taking the stairs can burn a couple hundred calories a week and make for a more fit and productive staff. The contest that I had in mind would look something like this.... The employee would track how many times they climb the stairs and then track it on a poster in the kitchen. The goals would consist of something like the Washington Monument, then the Sears Tower, then Mount Washington, etc. I'm sure that not everyone will want to do it...but I think that it could spark some good competetion and level of fitness in the office.

The one caveat to this contest would be prizes awarded to the employee once you reach a certain height level. Richard would you consider sponsoring something like this? Prizes could consist of a gift cards, possibly to a restaurant, REI, or smoothie king; or even a couple hours of vacation time. It could look something like this:

Washington Monument -- 555 feet -- take the stairs 19 times -- $5 gift card
Sears Tower -- 1454 feet -- take the stairs 49 times -- $10 gift card
Mount Washington -- 6288 feet -- take the stairs 210 times -- $20 gift card
Mt. Rainer -- 14,410 feet -- take the stairs 481 times -- $40 gift card
Mt. Everest -- 29, 035 feet -- take the stairs 968 times -- $50 gift card

Might sound like a stupid question to the majority of you but I've never used it nor have I ever needed to buy when I'm occasionally browsing I see deals offering items worth, for example, £200 for £80.

What are your experiences, views, advice and opinions?

I previously rented a room in my home to a tenant. The person moved and asked me to hold their mail because it was costly for them to change court papers. This person has not paid me 2 months of rent and refused to sign any agreement to pay in the future. I said I would be nice and hold ONE week's worth of mail to which the person picked up. Now the person is saying I agreed to allow the person to use my address for 2 months or so for court papers and that I would hold the mail for 2 months and contact that person promptly when it comes. I said I will return mail to sender from now on and the person got mad and attempted to blackmail me. I have a friend's mails held for her in a drawer in my house because she's in Iraq. The tenant said she saw I have mail from another previous tenant piled up and have a witness to prove it, which to me sounds like the person thinks she has something over on me and is attempting a blackmail. What should I do?

I know that it is very hard out there getting a decent job let alone without a higher level of education. Im a college student and most of my jobs are part-time seasonal and temp because of my schedule I don't have open availabilty due to my classes. I noticed that some people would never work at places that I have like telemarketing, pizza shops, cleaning etc. But How am I suppose to be succesful in the job field with out a college degree. I think that i have to deal with these little odd jobs while I work my way to the top. yet these people have managed to make somewhat of a decent income without an education? What is your intake on this matter?

Is it true that if you donate all your income to the government as a us citizen youll get tax cuts for the rest of your life or something? I heard that during i think Vietnam or ww2 people used to do this - theres a name for it - and after the war theyd be like tax free forever.

I am very far behind on my bills. Not because of neglagence but because i really just dont make enough for everything. I have two car payments. Insurnace, phone, electric, and rent that is all and i cant afford it. I am in the Army so its not like i can just get anouther job. I cannot afford a babysitter so it is very hard for my wife to work. I was wondering if the is any grants or programs out there that i could get to help me at least until tax season comes around.

I won't get into the reasons for quitting. But I left a message quitting my weekend part-time job. I recieved an email from the boss asking if I was ok...and why I would quit. I assume that at this point I could probably come up with something apologetic to maybe un-do the damage??
I have been a great employee...no calling off...never late...always meeting sale requirements.
Quitting right now is probably not such a great idea...it was a bit impulsive to quit, not one of my better decisions:(
I also understand that the damage may be irreversable at this point. BUT I would like to come up with some believable excuse for my mistake, hopefully getting my job back.
Any ideas?
