Let's say I bid a maximum of $220 but my bid is only like $180 because that's the next highest bid, and it says 'reserve not met', is there a chance that the 220 will meet the reserve when the 180 doesn't? Also, if the auction ends like this, for the second chance offer will the seller offer me the thing for $220 or $180?

My beloved uncle died and me and my five siblings are the benificiaries of his will. His London bungalow is worth well over the inheritance tax threshold of 300,000 pounds, but certainly not if you split it six ways. So do you have to pay inheritance tax on the value of the estate or on the amount which each individual eneficiary receives?

And it said nothing about buying and selling tax liens for an immediate profit. Is there any way to make an immediate profit without having to wait for them to pay you the taxes or for the foreclosure??

My dad is 71 not in the best of health, drinks 2 much!! He's only ever given my sister and I £20 at Christmas and £10 at birthdays. However he would spend fortunes on catalouge adverts and end up with cr*p usually being spontaneous when drunk, and others taking advantage of him. We sorted out and sent alot of stuff back and got the junk mail stopped. He now wants to give me and my sister some money out his policies that have just matured that he took out for us to make our lives easier he says £20,000 each however what would happen if he died within 7years as you are only allowed to gift £3,000 per year (inheritence taxes etc) how could we get round this, my life would be so much easier bu don't want a tax bill should he die (this is not mean't to sound callous) He never realised the tax issue and is now upset he never gave it earlier and honestly so am I. Any ways round this legally??

I have debts that equal about $3000 or so when all said and done. I have an oppurtunity to move to AZ with the rest of my family. I cannot just up and leave my job without getting one already in AZ, and I cannot afford to travel to AZ just for an interview and risk not even getting the job. I have bad credit (560 or something), no money saved up (paycheck to paycheck), no relatives able to help me out, only make $10/hr, have a car that I owe more on than its worth (no one will buy it off me), and need to make a move soon.
What can I do? Bankruptcy has been suggested, but do I even have enough debt to be considered? I have no way of paying things off anytime soon, but I need to move. Any advice, opinions, whatever? I do not know anything except that bankruptcy stays on your cred report for 10 years, that I will lose my vehicle (which is fine if I can be able to purchase one once in AZ), and that it will wipe my credit clean except for the bankruptcy itself. Help???

A roll of regular toilet paper has 197 sheets per roll if you buy a 12 roll pack for $4.00 - $6.00 depending on the brand. You are only buying 2364 sheets of tp. A roll of regular scott tp has 1000 sheets and 4 pack has 4000 sheets and is only about $2.50 to $3.00 depending on your area. A 12 pack roll of scott is 12000 sheets for only about 7.00 bucks as compared to a 24 pack regular roll of say charmin which is about 8.00 bucks a pack and you only get 4728 sheets of tp.
so 12000 sheets 12 pack roll of scott for 7.00 bucks
or 4728 sheets 24 pack roll of charmin for 8.00 bucks.
Which do you think is the better deal?

So I recently received a call from an employer inquiring about my application which I missed. I missed the call because I was in a terribly receptive area for my cell phone and it was on weirdest of all days: Saturday night. I really want the job and called back first thing the next day, but the associate let me know that the person that called me was not in. She did take down my information and assured me I should receive a call back. Should I call back the next day? or should I wait around for them to call me? I do not want to sound desperate by calling everyday trying to get a hold of the lady, but that may mean that I am serious about getting the job. Definitely a double-edged sword situation. What do you think?

I just turned 18 and I'm eager to start working full time. I previously worked W.S.S. which is a shoe store, I started off as a sales associate and made my way up to a cashier. I worked for this company for about a year. I liked working there because everyone was friendly and we all worked as a team.

can anyone help me find the BEST way to answer this question and include past experiences?

I currently have about a 620 credit score. Within the last year of two I have added new accounts and have made timely payments with a slip of maybe one or two times of late payments. My credit score has improved since then. What majorily has brought my credit score down are two collection accounts that refuse to come off, one is paid and the other I have no intention of paying ( i do not feel like I owe).
What steps can I take to bring up my credit score significantly? I was thinking of adding myself to a relatives account as a joint account holder. It is a seasoned account. How much will it raise my credit score to add myself to seasoned accounts as a joint account holder?
