A roll of regular toilet paper has 197 sheets per roll if you buy a 12 roll pack for $4.00 - $6.00 depending on the brand. You are only buying 2364 sheets of tp. A roll of regular scott tp has 1000 sheets and 4 pack has 4000 sheets and is only about $2.50 to $3.00 depending on your area. A 12 pack roll of scott is 12000 sheets for only about 7.00 bucks as compared to a 24 pack regular roll of say charmin which is about 8.00 bucks a pack and you only get 4728 sheets of tp.
so 12000 sheets 12 pack roll of scott for 7.00 bucks
or 4728 sheets 24 pack roll of charmin for 8.00 bucks.
Which do you think is the better deal?

I have ALWAYS used Scott tp, which is also what my mother and my grandparents bought. It's good quality paper, it give you a 'clean wipe' and it is VERY INEXPENSIVE. I did try a few of the other 'inexpensive' brands with 1000 sheets to a roll, to 'compare' but Scott is the best as far as I'm concerned. Get the Scott roll and you'll have almost three times as much tp for a dollar less. THAT MAKES THE BEST SENSE TO ME.

I note some unkind people are telling you they are bored, but I think it does you credit that you are trying to help a hard up friend.
You must get the two purchases to the same basis. So:
12,000 sheets of Scott, cost
7/12 = $0.53 per 1000sheets
and
4,728 sheets of Charmin, cost
8/ 4.728 = $1.69 per 1000 sheets
So your friend will be saving $1.16 every time she buys 1000 sheets of Scott !

If it is double ply versus single ply then are you not actually getting double the amount of sheets with the double ply? You really have way to much time on your hands, then again everyone must have a hobby

As long as the tissue is not made from the cheap recycled paper you can buy any one of them.
