I replied to a pop up: 06/05/07..You have won a free vacation good for 1 year from Summer Bay Resorts. at 888-782-9847 FL . Since our group of Landsailers sail 2x per year at Ivanpah Lake, Primm in NV and stay at their resort the idea sounded good. The sales rep requested my credit card information. I did not realize immediately that $498.00US was debited out of my credit account without my authorization.
I was supposed to get : 3 days with 2 FREE Nights on arrival with a presentation..Then, IF INTERESTED pay . I specified that our group comes to Las Vegas for the purpose of teaching persons with disabilities the art of Landsailing during the months of Spring and Fall, we are MAALSF -MID AMERICAN ADAPTIVE LANDSAILING FOUNDATION. NON PROFIT. Also, needing accomodation for November, 7/07 (our group) flight and hotel reservations are now reserved for elsewhere. There is no communication from Summer Bay for a refund. I did not authorize any debit on 06/05/07. I sent correspond

I am a manager at a business. I never take days off for sickness. OMG, I am so sick to my stomach. Should I leave for the day. I am supposed to be here for a 12 hour day. They could make it without me, but I feel bad putting the burden on another manager.

I bought a home and my name is on the "note" and "title". My boyfriend of 2 years is living with me. He pays half the bills and I'm wondering if he'll have any interest or ownership in the property if we ever split up? Also, what type of case will he have? He would be paying for rent if he didn't live with me, right?
Any opinions appreciated!! :-)

I sold an item on ebay, immediately accepted payment, and then the person contacted me and said they changed their mind. So now I have to refund their money, but my PayPal balance reads $0. Why? Is the money already in my bank account? I checked this morning, doesn't look like it...
I tried to do it as a "pay for ebay item" but it won't let me. Help!!!

I fear for my safety because I come home sometimes very late at night. I would like something to be done about this house but I'm not sure how to go about it. Please help!

I need some good opinions here folks. Please star!

My dad is discouraging me to take this new job delivering mail for the post office. So now I need other people's opinions because i am confused.

I have a current job. I have medical/dental insurance on me and my family. I make about 5 dollars less an hour at my current job then I would at my new one. I am very burnt out of my previous job and fell like I will never move up. I applied and been ignored.
I now have an offer with the post office. It pays 5 dollars more an hour plus 30 dollars a day for wear and tear on your car. But untill you go permanent (approx 2or3 years) you dont have medical insurance.
Now i can get All Kids probably for my children. Me and my husband wouldn't have insurance if I changed. He can pick up insurance at his job but it's about 200 dollars extra a month than i pay at my current job.
My dad's points are these:
You have to have your own vehicle. You will have to replace brakes & other often.

I got laid off from my job last winter. I have subsequently been working temp jobs off/on for the past 8 months. I've submitted resumes through Monster, HotJobs and Startribune.com, but I haven't landed a permanent job yet.

Are there any employment agencies out there who deal specifically with placing people directly in jobs without the temporary stipulation? I also have 10 years in my field.

Please let me know if you know of a company you'd recommend or if you're a headhunter for a specific company that you can vouch for!

Thanks!

- what are the ways to break the ice if you have no prior experience, where and how to start
- can you make a living out of it, suppose you write for several magazines, can this be your full time job
- if you're an english major, what are the topics you can write on - just fiction/philosophy/world affairs? is this in high demand so you can earn enough money to support yourself. thanx a lot

Thanks for all the replies to my previous post..I called the lender of the property (I am leasing) and they say I will receive a 60 notice to vacate once the property is sold at auction. I do have a question about when does the property officially transfer to the bank, because I don't want to be sued for not paying rent but I don't want to keep paying the old owner for nothing.

When I bought my home years ago I had to pay for PMI untill I had 20% equity in my home. I was told it would step in and protect the bank if I walked away from my loan obligation and the bank had to forclose. So with all these forclosers in the news today why isn't PMI paying off and protecting the banks or was it a scam to begin with?

I have been confirmed employment with Texaco's captain oil field, Scotland through ATM Recruiter Services after a short online interview. In contract agreement, they didn't mention about my necessary documents like passport, visa, work permit etc. I have been given very short period to start my job. I am not clear about this. Please tell me, this employment is true or fraud?

Most of my friends charge up their Visa and Mastercard to the limit each and every month. They view their credit limit the same as money in the bank. For example if their Mastercard had a limit of $9000 they would always try to keep the balance at just a few dollars below that amount. They are paying 18% interest on this balance but they do not care because that is just the cost of living in today's society in their mind.

Do you have a credit card balance that you are paying interest on?

Unfortunately, my profession has become one of many that are now SALARY positions. As a computer specialist, it seems most employers want to hire you for 40 hours a week, but then they almost always want you to work more than that (for 'FREE'), because we are salary.

The employers put peer pressure on you by comparing your work ethic to others who have succumbed to their bosses pressures to work more hours, ...for FREE!!

Now this is not fair at all, and in fact seems to be an unethical work practice that should be against the U.S. Wage and Labor laws. They are just exploiting the use of 'salary' to get more FREE labor. This isn't fair. Salary should be for top management and sales force workers.

Obviously we could find another job, but most other companies are doing the same thing now days.

The only answer seems to be to find another career field, but this isn't practical either. I only want to work 40 hours a week, even at a lower pay.

What are your suggestions?

i was originally going to school for my RN but since having my daughter i would rather go for sonography, giving the sonograms, especially the ones to determine the sex of babies. but i dont know much about it, i dont even know what the actualy job title is called let alone where to go to school for it. would there be enough of a demand for those to where i could get a job in an OB Clinic or hospital. just curious if anyone knows anything more about it! thanks :)
