My parents want to sell me their house, and I want to buy it. How can we do this and avoid having to list the house and use a real estate agent. I'm sure we could agree on terms, and I know we'd have to get it appraised, but how can we write up a contract, etc. The financing issue is not a problem, just the selling/buying. You could e-mail me, also. Please and thank you.

I currently own a house which I began renting a few months ago and plan to do so until I feel like selling it, if ever. I've been thinking about buying a house, but by myself, could only afford something that is about in the same price range. It seems to me that I could rent something for about the same price as a mortgage and get a beautiful apartment (from what i've seen). Does this make sense and sound like a good idea? I've got someone renting (paying off) my house while I get to live in a beautiful apartment for about the same amount.

Do you agree that for the cost of a mortgage, one can usually get a gorgeous apartment at the same cost? I would like to hear some opinions. Thanks!!

I live in a fairly small 3 bedroom house with my husband and 3 children. We could really do with more space, and we intend to try and buy a larger property in the nest 12 months. So i am wondering whether or not building a conservatory, while it would be fab for us to have some more living space now, would be a good or bad investment in a property we will be selling.

Any ideas from anyone who has had a conservatory built and then sold their home??

Maybe the question is kind of confusing, here are the specifics.

I'm gonna make $115k this year. This puts me just barely above the limit for being able to contribute to a Roth IRA. I love to save money, and I love putting money into the Roth.

BUT, I became eligible to contribute to a 403(b) this year. I can put away up to $15,500.

If I put the full amount into my 403(b), would my gross adjusted income then fall to $99,500, making me eligible to put the full $4k into a Roth IRA?

I want to work someday at a VA Hospital or in a medical setting. But social workers don't really have to get hands-on like that with the patients the way a nurse would; however, I can't seem to think of a good job that is in line with the social worker career that I can work while I'm in college. Any ideas?

I've been working with my uncle in his company for 2 years now all legit on the payroll....

i do wet rooms and bathrooms/Tiling etc....

i started with him when i was 21 years old and i thought it would be nice for a change in carreir and i do enjoy it...

seeing that i knew nothing he said he would pay me £50 a day which is fair enough, tho the last few months i have been thinking, i've been doing some jobs on my own, i am good at tiling now... i want to ask him, if i could have a payrise, i feel a little scared to ask for some reason.

what do you think is the best way to go about it, and how much more should i ask for.??

The care home in which i work has rencently been taken over by new owners. They are penny pinching in every aspect! Yes i know it's a businnes BUT the patients and staff are all suffering. The food they now buy is crap.....the pads used are not effective and staff are going sick left right and centre as morale is so low. We have also been told we will see no pay rise for 3 years! this is to bring our pay in line with the other 8 homes they own!
What bothers me the most is the cut backs on what the patients get for their money! They are paying more for less!

I have stayed home this year to go back to school. I worked last year and got the EIC. I am married. Do I need to go back to work to be able to get a larger EIC? Does it matter on if both parents work or just on the income of the family? There are 5 kids...I usually claim 2 and my husband claims the other 3. We file jointly. Does it make a difference if I work or do not work??

I asked again for further deatil and all they said it was not a right fit. On my recent job application I have listed "position eliminated" as my reason for leaving. This has never been an issue for previous background checks. However, I just received a verbal offer for my dream job and I am really concerned what this previous employmer might say about me. We left on good terms.

I'm doing a project for work about working in construction. Have you noticed any red flags in the sector that you'd like to share, such as being underpaid because you were paid under the table, or the feeling that you were/are in a dead end job, or only working seasonally, etc?

I work retail while going to school full-time. Even though I'm barely part-time I work every weekend and have no time to do work for my demanding class load. How do I respectfully quit so I can still get a good future reference? I'm obviously not good with this kind of thing so any help is appreciated.
