The care home in which i work has rencently been taken over by new owners. They are penny pinching in every aspect! Yes i know it's a businnes BUT the patients and staff are all suffering. The food they now buy is crap.....the pads used are not effective and staff are going sick left right and centre as morale is so low. We have also been told we will see no pay rise for 3 years! this is to bring our pay in line with the other 8 homes they own!
What bothers me the most is the cut backs on what the patients get for their money! They are paying more for less!

You should have had POVA training. If you think that the home is not giving the residents the care that is needed then you should get in touch with CSCI and put in a complaint. If you get in touch with them what you tell them will be done in all confidentiality. It is your duty as a care worker to keep all vulnerable adults safe from abuse.

Motivation is something that pushes you to do issues. try looking out what's inflicting your team's morale to be so low. confer with them and look at out your superb to make certain any subjects. distinctive workers have distinctive desires, low morale in one worker would impact different workers.

What about reporting them to a local news station for investigation on the treatment of the patients...that should wake them up.

report it to the patients families. they've got a right to know what they are paying. Those owners shouldn't be allowed to act like. If you dont report you'll be just as guilty as them. You can leave your job, the patients are defenceless prisoners.

hmm unfortunately a lot of care homes are being bought out because it's so highly regulated and has become very hard to manage. you should make a complaint and go to corporate.
