Iraqi dinar trading permit extended

Finance minister renews permit to trade Iraqi dinar in Israel, extended validity by two years

Zvi Lavi Published: 09.03.07, 09:00 / Israel Money

A special permit for trading Iraqi dinars in Israel has recently been renewed. Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On decided on the move due to the widespread trade of the currency in the country.

Initially, the permit was issued for a period of one year; its renewal has extended its validity by two years, despite the fact that Iraq is considered an enemy state.

According to estimates by Govev Investments, which has been trading the Iraqi currency over the past year, the currency turnover equals in value to over $20 million. The Iraqi dinar currently stands at $0.0008.

In the United States, the currency turnover has reached nearly $500 million since the Iraqi dinar began being traded there at the end of 2003, following the printing of new bills issued by the al-Maliki government, which was voted into office under the auspices of the American occupation.

The demand for Iraqi currency in Israel has increased since trading began, under the assumption that its value will also increase with the rehabilitation of Iraq and its economy.

Economists see a promising potential in Iraq to become a wealthy, modern country because of its oil and gas reserves, and its vast, fertile agricultural land.

The ticket is 4 1/2" x 2 1/4" with a 1" x 2 1/4" perforated stub. Printing on both the ticket and stub, front side only. Tickets are numbered, bundled, and stapled in increments of 20. How much to print this job?

Unfortuantely, I am forced to ask the question because my childs football league used these as a fundraiser selling each ticket for $5. $2 of every ticket went back to the "sponsor" to cover the cost of printing, two tickets to 8 regular season pro football games, and help offset their donation of a a month membersdhip to their gym (a supposed $75 value)... yeah I know... where can you sign up to be a sponsor.

If you own a print shop and a local sports league brought this to you, would you thought to have provided a discount or even donate your services... maybe for a mention on the ticket?

When looking for a job, I find lots of ads (particularly from staffing firms) saying "Fortune 500" or "working with Fortune 500 Clients". My first thought is "big deal". It's like some $9 per hour job. Is it supposed to impress me that I'm lining the pockets of some company that's already super-wealthy while I eke by in the poverty bracket? Am I supposed to hold pride-in-affiliation more dear to me than making a substantial income? Is there a hidden benefit to working with Fortune 500 clients?

sales representatives receive an 8% commission on each sale. The December income statement shows the following information:

Sales $1,200,000-
Cost of goods sold $640,000 =
Gross profit $560,000
Expenses:
Sales commissions $96,000 +
Advertising160,000+
Store rent24,000+
Administrative salaries40,000+
Amortization50,000+
Other12,000=
Total382,000
Net income178,000

The company's management believes that the December results would be repeated during January, February, and March without any changes in strategy. However, some changes are being considered. Management believes that unit sales will increase at a rate of 10% each month during the next quarter (including January) if the item's selling price is reduced to $112 per unit and if advertising expenses are increased by 25% and remain at that level for all three months. Even if these changes are made, the purchase price will remain at $64 per unit. Under this plan, the sales representatives would continue to earn a 8%

I've been working at Petco part time (2 days a week) for about two weeks. They put me on cash register with barely any training or help. I should've recieved alot more training than was given to me and my boss knows it. I mess up all of the time and have to frequently ask for help. It is so embarrassing for me. I requested that they transfer me into the grooming department. They are so understaffed in the retail part of the store, they wouldn't transfer me. I absolutely hate workinging in retail!

I have little time for school, my artwork, or time to rest. I really need to quit this job. It is not worth it. I really don't need the money. I would rather find a job more suited to my personality.

I have discussed my concerns with my boss. I worked yesterday, which I really didn't want to do, but my boss asked if I would. I am suppossed to work on Wednesday. I would really just like to say no and quit. I don't think I can take anymore of this!

What should I do!?

I was wondering the requirements of this job, mostly as far as age. I checked walgreens.com and other pharmacy's sites and the trend seems to be 18. But I have heard of people getting the job before their 18th birthday. Can anyone confirm this?

I dont turn 18 until June 2008, so maybe I should wait to apply until closer to that date? Also, does anyone know the wages? I heard they were quite well.
