Go back to the credit card customer service and make them explain it to you and what you have to do. Ask for a supervisor if you can't get an acceptable explanation.

I think after 6 months they cant ask for it back. I would go to the CAB and ask their advice. Its not your fault their payroll cant do their job correctly and they are responsible for deducting tax from the wage and paying it so i would assume that it has been paid. That meens the only one loosing out would be the company. If they did their jobs correctly, they wouldnt have lost the money. I was overpaid from one job and asked for the moeny back, they never persued it because they knew there was nothing they could do.

The customer service area should mail you the "Affidavit and Indemnity" form in the mail. You will have to get it notarized and mail it back to them.

You should call the card's customer service number and ask them what they need from you.
