I'm 22 years old and i have a four year old son. I haven't worked all year. I just got a job gettin paid $7 working 10-15 hours a week part time. My question is what should i claim on my W-4? I don't want to have to pay at tax time and if i claim "2" (both of us) or "1" will my boyfriend be able to claim us and head of household at tax time like he did last year? I have to do my paperwork tomorrow so i need to know.

I've always thought that receiving a refund meant my tax professionals were giving me good tax advice. I just found out from a relative who is a tax pro that I'm NOT getting good service just by always getting a refund from my tax returns. Why is this the case and what should I do to fix it?

I have a line of credit at a bank at about 16% APR. Can I transfer that balance to a credit card to get a lower APR, or even a 0% APR using a balance transfer offer? I have a credit score of 650 (which I have read on the internet is considered "very good").

I have about $16,000 in credit card debt at 16% APR. I'm going to use a balance transfer with no fee to a card with 0% for 12 months. Can I just do a similar transfer every 12 months to a different card (with similar terms) to keep getting the 0% rate? Does this affect my credit score? Any pitfalls or fine print details I haven't considered?

I have a child from my previous marriage. I re-married and got 2 more kids. My in-laws bought us a house, pd for 50% of it. My hubby & I equally pay monthly morgage. Recently, my inlaws wanted me to sign a legal document making only my 2 younger kids d beneficiaries of the house just in case my hubby dies. What abt my 1st child? I feel that he deserves some fair share since I put in monthly mortgage but I don't like discussing money issues with my inlaws. What do i do? I have changed my beneficiary schedule in my 401K giving my oldest 80% of it and 10% equally to my other 2 kids. Then i think they might think i favor my oldest when time comes to get the inheritance but I am dead so I cannot explain anything (they are all under 10 y/o right now).

Honestly, I don't care for anything for me but I'd like al my kids to have their fair share. But what is fair & how do I handle this situation without leaving any one left out and not making a negative impression to my in-laws?

I know they are for artists to record and release albums, and the record company gets the artists' money or at least part of it, but what are they really for? I know one artist who released a single without a record label. So why do artists need a record label? do record labels help you keep track of things or do they make your music copyright? can somebody please tell me, im really confused about it.

petite fille
S Computer technicians?
Hallo, i just graduated from high school last school year and i wanted to pursue a career in Accounting but i cannot afford the cost at my college. I just got a plan B to work as i save for my tuition but something else just popped up....it's a training program as a computer technician and you are paid to be a student and 100% tuition and all supplies necessary are paid. Its only a 15 weeks program and then you get certified. I wanted an advice from a computer technician out there. THX!
P?S: But i'm going to college for accountancy after this program because by then, things will be better for me instead of staying of waiting.

I had recently come from the U.K and did not know much about tax filing in the US . My husband owned his own business on his social security. He was an upright citizen who always paid his taxes. That is until he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Whilst struggling with the disease for 2 years he accumalated tax debt amounting to $22000.00 which i was unaware of until he passed away. Whil'st I was married to him I did not work and was a housewife. I have been financially struggling to meet the basic needs of my daughters and myself ever since his death. I worked over the last 3 years and made a small salary of $23,000.00 which barely covers all the expenses. Our family home has been threatened with fore closure twice. I would like to appeal to the IRS to return any money that i am entitled to. Does anybody have any experience of applying for innocent spouse status. What kind of cover letter should i send with my form. I cannot afford an attorney and would appreciate any help. Thanx
