How old dou have to be to cash a check.?

I have a custodian account with my dad and i was wondering if i can get checks.

Karia is partially correct. If the check is made out to you AND someone else, both signatures are required. If it is made out to you OR someone else, either signature is sufficient.

As long as the check is made out ONLY in your name you can cash the check. If the check has his name on it also then both of you will have to sign the check for it to be cashed.
