I was wondering if a not for profit debt consolidation company can help me with a debt that I am now being garnished for.

Not really. You chance to negotiate was before the creditor sued and won that judgment against you.

Debt consolidation/repair companies pretty much just take their fees up front and trash your credit. Use the money to pay down your debt instead.

About the only thing that you could do now is try to get the judgement vacated.
