I quit my job 1 month ago and still haven't received a check. What are the laws in the U.S. I was working for a company in Florida and I currently live in Idaho. The company was dishonest and took advantage of me.

Who is this money protected by? If the bank fails that will mean more then one is and how will everyone get the 100,000 they are insured for. If they print the money which they could wouldn't that cause terrible inflation? I just dont see how this 100,000 insurance would work if the banks that hold all the money go down....

I've become the lucky chosen victim of an audit for the year of 2006. I think my donation deductions may have tipped them off or something. Anyway, they want proof of my deductions and questioning my head of household status. Well, I can prove my deductions but I'm concerned about the head of household issue. They want to see a copy of my townhome lease agreement but my lady is on there too. Since we're not married we of course file seperately and she files head of household also. Would that bring her in the picture to be sweated by the IRS because I don't know if two people can be head of one household. I'm gonna just take one behind the bushes on the head of household issue and just pay that portion back if she's at risk. What's the JettMan to do??

My HSBC card called me twice today at work, leaving messages with my co-worker. They called again, I answered and they wanted to know if I made a $100 charge to sprint, a $76 charge to Target, $100 on flowers, and $50 for a haircut.
I made all these charges and i usually spend 400 a week on this card. My payments are on time and im under the credit limit.
I was embarrased because i have nosey co-workers everyone was listening and making up stories that im bakrupt.
I am outraged that they would call just for this at my job like I did something wrong.
I have citibank and if they think something is suspicious they just leave a message at home.

What the hell was this about?

I just caught the tail end of a CBS Evening News report about George W. Bush's 'plan' to help relieve the mortgage crisis in this country.
If I understood correctly, government-backed refinancing packages would be available, but ONLY to those who own $400,000+ homes - those people with subprime loans and adjustable-rate mortgages wouldn't qualify for assistance.
Bush said something to the effect that we can't bail people out who buy homes they can't afford. Then WHY would we bail out people who buy half-million-dollar homes? It sounds to me like this is just another Bush 'plan' to provide welfare for the wealthy and nothing for those who really need the financial assistance. -RKO- 08/31/07

A friend of mine told me that his friend is going to put money in my account so I can withdraw it and send it to his daughter and I did but this friend did a second transfer which I have no knowledge about until the bank informed me that it was stolen from another bank account...what's going to happen to me?

When figuring out my debt to income ratio and how much payment I could afford, my lender said that they would have to divide my income by 2 then substract my monthly expenses to calculate mortgage payment. Is this true? I don't remember this when I got a mortgage 2 years ago.
