I see that there's a routing and account number so it seems like it would cash like a check, but I've never dealt with these before so any advice would be appreciated.

yes you can -plus you can take to any post office and cash it there as well
just endorse as you work a check (if you deposit into the ATM)

Money order, from the USPS or nearly anywhere, can be treated just like a check. Personally, I never use ATMs for deposits.

Some banks will take them, others will not. Even if you have an account there. You can cash it with two ID's at any U.S. post office.

you can deposit it in your atm like you do anything else and it will be posted to your account the next business day.
