I have an overdrawn account at 5/3 that is about to close out. It is a long story but I am disputing the overdraws and have not paid anything on it and dont plan too unless they work something out with me. But anyway I have a check that was written out to me that is a 5/3 check...2 party. I am having a hard time cashing this check since I am overdrawn there. Does anyone have any ideas how to cash this without having to pay a fee. The check is only 30.00 and they want to charge 10.00 at another bank or wont even cash it at all since I dont have an account there. I have not encountered this problem before and was wondering if anyone has any ideas how to cash this without the hefty fees. Or know anywhere that the fees arent crazy. I know about having someone cash it for me, but I have heard that I cannot just sign it over to them without having to be there myself with an ID. Then if I do that they check my ID and wont cash it. Please help me. It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

it is safe to buy high yield bonds from the U.S. goverment? i thought high yield bonds are only offer when the issuer don't have much credibility so he/she raise the interest rate to attract investor. therefore, why does the U.S. government offer high yield bonds to investor when their credibility is already good?

Yesterday a guy showed up to look at my "For Sale By Owner" and instantly told me he was very interested and wanted to buy it. He put a real estate contract in front of me with a full priced offer, and told me it was a standard deal. I breezed through the contract and signed it -- happy I had sold the house. Then he started asking me for all sorts of docs a conventional REI deal wouldn't need, and I read the fine print... It turns out the contract he used was NOT a standard contract at all, but was instead a SUBJECT TO real estate deal. I don't want to sell the property Subject To, and I feel like this buyer was deceitful by not disclosing this stuff up front. How can I get out of the contract? I am in colorado.

I put down a holding fee which is non-refundable, but due to a clerical error on their part I was unable to move in on my desired date and have had to make all kinds of arrangements and incur extra costs for changing, cancelling, and making new reservations on a truck and equipment. Now, I'm actually having second thoughts on the place. To make matters worse, I actually did sign a lease, but it had to be changed and redrawn due to their clerical error, so I'd have to re-sign with the correct info. In addition, they still have my deposit check! Can I rightfully walk away from this deal and recoup my deposit check from them?

Today marks the 10th Week that I have covered for an open position here at my company - along with my regular position & duties. The pay rate for that position is $52,000.00 per year or $1,000.00 a week. To date I have saved our Company $10,000.00 or 10 weeks of salary that has NOT been paid out. I notified my boss in the beginning that if covering the position lasted longer than 2 weeks I wanted a bonus of somekind. But now it has been 10 weeks and we finally are seeing some qualified candidates for the job. My boss is very cheap I will MAD if he offers me a check for $500.00 or something. The extra work has really been weighing down on me I believe I deserve more. What SHOULD I be receiving? Is there a standard? Note: Covering empty positions is NOT part of my job description.

1) I was just curious about this: When someone like Bill Gates gets to social security age will he collect anything or does his benefit go away because of his income?

2) I heard somewhere that the personal income limit that disallows ROTH contributions when you exceed it was going away. Is that true? It was either that or the income limit that you have to be under to do a conversion from traditional to ROTH. Can anyone verify which one of those is changing?

Thanks
