I have had no health insurance for the last 1yr since being downsized by my prior employer. My old beneifits expired and I didn't continue due to the higher cost without the help of my previous employer. I have had some medical issues causing me to visit the ER in the last 6months. I was wondering if any health provider reimburses their new clients on preexisting medical matters. If so please tell me some, so I can save myself from soon to be high medical bills. I'm cleaning up my past negitive credit issues and I don't want this lowering my score after all the catch up I have been playing.

I mean when you need how much? when it takes you 3 months to pay it off without borrowing? 6? 9? 12? What is considered urgent? buying a house? a car? a medical operation?

Earlier today, two women, saying they were with 'Dedicated, Too' ( http://www.dedicatedtoo.com/ ) knocked on my door and sold me some magazines. I'm a soft touch like that...

I wrote them a check for $32, which I thought was covering two one-year subscriptions.

Just a few minutes ago, they knocked on my door again. They said that the price for the two subscriptions was, actually, $132 (for two three-year subscriptions).

Well, I can't afford to spend $132 on magazines & told them that I did not want the subscriptions anymore. They asked if they could keep the check & use it as a donation to a woman's shelter.

Now, I kind of doubt that they're going to do that with the money, but figure they're down on their luck & I'll let them have the $32.

Alright...heres the situation (Short story version). My mother was planning on selling her place. Well...we got some buyers soon after we put it up on the market. Soon after, the buyers wrote up a "binding contract", stateing that the seller nore buyer could back out of the deal. Well..a few weeks after mother signed it, she desided not to sell our home and land. She told the buyers and and they wern't happy, thus they began to threaten to file law-suit (Or however its spelled), and they also threated to make us MOVE ANYWAY, when we have NO WHERE to go at all. The "contract" was typed up by the buyers and printed out, then they brang it to my mom, where she signed it. There was no lawyer present, no Master Of Equety (I didn't spell that right..) present, and above all, the "contract" was signed at our house. Not in a lawyers office. Is it still possible for the buyers to carry out their threats of law-suit, and makeing us move out of our home when we have no where to go?

I was 3 minutes late for my first day of work today at Staples Business depot, because of a bus problem. Is this really bad? My trainer didn't look like she minded, but would she report this to the manager as something really bad?

I'm purchasing a home for $400,000 to rent it out.

I can't afford a $40,000 down payment.

Are there any types of loans I can take out, what are the negatives and the positives?

My roommate and I moved out of our apartment because the house was just too hot to live in. We talked to our landlord who said she would let us out of the lease a month early, but will keep our deposit (our lease ends august 30th). She decided to have the place bug bombed but we told her that there was still some furniture we wanted to keep. Well I just rolled down there and I am missing some furniture, a watch, some other odd and end things like a bottle of wine and my indian rug. I called her and her excuse was that she had the items moved to storage, when in reality I believe the guys who helped move things out cherry picked what they wanted before the bombing took place. We never gave her permission to move or take anything. And it seems odd that a bottle of wine should be taken to prevent damage from a bomb, when they left numerous other objects in the rooms and took personal valuables along with other odds and ends like kitchen utensils. Is this just straight up theft?

My friend has a 2004 Acura and is looking to get rid of it because of the extremely high interest rate that they're paying. They owe 21k and the car is worth about 18k. We know it's going to be hard to refi because the amount they owe is more than the worth of the car. Any suggestions on what to do??

Have you ever had an unsecured credit card company place a lein on your home for an unpaid balance or is this just some tactic that the collection agency is using to scare the consumer? Or have you known someone who had this experience? The balance they are quoting is substantially more that it had been a year ago.

I mean seriously or are they just against people who make some money without having to work for it? How is this different than people on public assistance (getting money w/o earning it?) Like my grandmother who has been investing for the past 44 years (strictly buy and hold) and today she gets close to 26K in dividends each year.....YET she has never made more than 50K (earned income) in one year. That just goes to show you that long periods of time (30+ years) will do wonders for most people in the markets. Unfortunately 62% of Americans cash out their 401ks on every job switch so they will never see those benefits of long term steady investing!!!! Not to mention we are a society obsessed with the short-term (both socially and financiallY) which probably explains why 62% of people cash out their retirement savings everytime they switch jobs.

Why do people on the left hate the stock market?

Hi, I'm going to be an incoming sophomore in college this semester (majoring in Pre-pharmacy) and I've been sort of frustrated applying to different stores (during the summer) that were hiring Pharm. technicians. I feel like I'm not going to be able to have a lot of experience once I graduate from school and apply to pharmacy schools. I even offered to work for experience and I told them I didn't care about how much they would pay me. Still almost all of them were full with other students and no hours to give. Should I be worried? I just don't want to doubt anything in my future and I want to remain calm and be determined no matter what. Positive comments would be great.

Trying to build my FICO score and purchased a credit report. In it, it stated that I don't have "enough mortgage accounts" and that I should open different types of accounts. I'm trying to build my credit to buy a house! Are their other types of "mortgage accounts" short of homes/houses that I can purchase relatively cheaply that will boost my score?
