....when I am still living in it for the next few months?

I live in Florida but I would guess that this is illegal everywhere. He wants me to keep it in SHOWING CONDITION ALSO which means my bed should be made, dishes put away, etc. I am paying $1,550 a month in rent--Is this legal to do???

A recent story on the increase in mortgage defaults cited home value decrease as a cause of defaults. Why would a drop in house value cause financial problems for a mortgage holder? (Wouldn't they actually benefit a little from the decreased property taxes?) They pay the same payment each month, based on initial home value, and wouldn't be dependent on later value, right?

I am currently living in a home with my uncle which is in his name. He plans on moving out of California due to the raising cost of particuly everything here. I make enough money and I have great credit. He is left oweing about 130K on the loan, the house was appraised at 400K. I want to to put the title in my name and get my own loan. Would I be able to take out 180K loan out instead of the 130K in order to finish paying off the house? I would use the additonal money to for home improvments.

I can easily earn double that in a year, and this is the only thing holding me back. My parents are having a hard time explaining it to me.. I doubt they understand why, themselves. I want to know why because, honestly, it's really pissing me off. If someone knows how all this works, it would be very much appreciated.

We are renting a condo from an individual (the property owner - not a company) and we put in our 30 day notice. But, 2 weeks after putting the notice in, we changed our mind and decided to stay. Now, the owner is saying there are other people that are lined up for the condo. The landlord checked with them, but they are not flexible and they want to move in. The owner is going to let us know where she stands legally in a few days, but with only 2 weeks left, I'm trying to find an answer myself.
Does anyone know how the California rental laws handle this? Since we are already living there, would we get first dibs or because of our 30 days notice, would we have to move out?

I am in tears. i recently moved to north carolina with my girlfriend and have been here for 3 months. I have a b.s. degree and an a.a.s degree. I have open availability and have applied to numerous places and have yet to get a job. I have been called for a couple of interviews and have not gotten a job. I don't understand, I have over 40 applications, resumes, and inquiries out in circulation. I have gone to books a million to read up on resumes, cover letters and interview tech. I am beyond tired of applying to jobs that I know that I am well qualified for; even over qualified. Can someone help me out....PLEASE :(

Earlier I asked the Real Estate community if they felt it necessary for me when selling, to disclose the fact that I had plumbing problems in my condo since it was built (2003) even though the builder had repaired them last July (2006) and I have not had a problem since. I was overwhelmingly encouraged to disclose with information regarding the corrections. I agree after reading the responses that I should disclose. However, the builder contracted the repairs at their expense as it was considered a warranty and they never gave me any paperwork detailing the nature of the repairs. Is there a law that says they must provide this info or some way that I can insist on getting documented evidence of the repairs? I want to have something in writing that outlines the corrections to present to a potential buyer otherwise I fear I will never be able to sell. If anyone has any suggestions for how I might go about getting such info from the builder without hassle, please advise. Thanks!
