Wilson Company prepared the following preliminary budget assuming no advertising expenditures:

Selling price: $10 per unit
Unit sales: 100,000
Variable expenses: $600,000
Fixed expenses: $300,000

Based on a market study, the company estimated that it could increase the unit selling price by 15% and increase the unit sales volume by 10% if $100,000 were spent on advertising. Assuming that these changes are incorporated in its budget, what should be the budgeted net income?

less than asking price? The properties have acreage, nice homes but have been on the market for a couple of months. The location is good for us because it is right outside booming areas of town. They are asking $340k for $184k appraised home and $400 for a $180k. Will a bank loan us money if there is such a discrepancy? I was thinking about offering somewhere in the lower $200's.

I work at Walgreens across from Wal-Mart and I dont know if people are naive or whatever but like seriously people come to me and complain about prices I mean is it that bad? I mean I only work for the company but cheap people come in our store and act like were the highest place to shop because our prices are up by .25 or maybe .50 cents to walmarts and because we dont do the 1 for the price of 2 thing ( for example if u want something thats 2 for 5 dollars you have to buy 2 of that item). But anyways whats going on to me is that Wal-mart is trying to put every store out of business so what should I do? Im just sick and tired of hearing about Walmart being so cheap and people complaining, i only work the company. And basically what people dont get is that first and foremost were a drug store meaning a pharmacy, we are in competition with CVS and Eckerd (now Rite Aid lol). Does anyone here work at a major retail store that happens to be by walmart?

I personaly hate it. Living in a rapidly growing area in the US, I find so much beautiful land gobbled up by developers. Across what was once a farmland that gave us food is now rows and rows of houses that all look alike, and only those making great money can live there. Developers will stop at nothing to get the land they want, forcing families who have lived on a piece of land for generations to sell, only to see it turn into another Wal-mart strip mall.
So what are some of your opinions on suburban sprawl?

I work full time, no kids, no mortgage, no school, no car payment, etc... I dont know what else exempts you from paying taxes. I heard the lower the number the more taxes they take out, but you will get more on your return.

i have investment recently in 1 bank. After 1 month, they send me a letter that need me go to 1 of the places that listed in the letter to get a $40 voucher.

Now, the places listed say is A, B, C, D, E,F,G & H
And I can spend the voucher either in the places listed above PLUS places 1,2,3,4,5 & 6.

Now the place nearby my home is 3 and i went to 3, wish to get the $40 spend. (i didn't read the letter carefully, yes, it is my fault here) and dissapointed, i couldn't exchange the letter with shopping vouchers. I need to go somewhere else (A to H)that is farer to get the vouchers.

My question is, this bank is a reputable bank in Singapore and have so many branches here. Why can't they just send us the shopping vouchers instead of giving us a stupid letter to let us go and exchange it ourselves? This is just a simple things that they can do for their clients. And the value is just $40?

What do you think of their service ?

I'm planning on getting engaged pretty soon. Instead of putting myself on a finance plan I was wondering if I could withdraw some of my 401k. I have some money from a previous job just sitting in thier plan as my current employer would not accept rollovers. it isn't much, only around 5k. But I would love to take abot 2k out to purchase a ring. What are the ramifications of doing this? Am I even allowed to? Thanks in advance for any help you could give.

Darling hubby and I live in Michigan. We are trying to figure out the most beneficial way to file our taxes so that we get the maximum return. Also we would like to start withholding less from our paycheck. Hubby has the health insurance & dental as well as our 401K deducted from his pay. I have none of the above. He actually makes less per hour but gets overtime and I only put in 38.5hrs/wk because my employer does not want to pay for health insurance. I also have a second job that doesn't exceed the 1000.00/yr limit. What is the best way to set up our withholdings so we get the maximum amt in our paycheck without jeapordizing our return? And what is the best way to file... married/jointly (for state) or just married (for state)?
Thanks!! :o)

I have my Diploma (Associate's Degree without the general education classes) in Administrative Support. I am currently attending school for a Business Degree. My resume basically consists of cashier work, but I want to get out of that area. I have knowledge and experience from school work in MS Office (except for Access which I've used maybe twice) and can type around 55-60 wpm. The problem is, I have come across a lot of these positions that only require a high school diploma, but 2 or 3 years of experience. My first question is, how do I create a resume that will get attention since my current one isn't working?
My next question is, how does this whole get experience when you don't have experience thing work?
Any useful suggestions would be wonderful.
