I was 3 minutes late for my first day of work today at Staples Business depot, because of a bus problem. Is this really bad? My trainer didn't look like she minded, but would she report this to the manager as something really bad?

it was 3 minutes ago on the store clock.
And my situation was, I did explain this to my trainer, that the bus I planned to take, which would have been there 15 minutes earlier, was a bit early. I watched it pass by me, so instead I had to take the next one. which got me there 3 minutes late

3 minutes according to WHOSE watch?

Anything less than 5 minutes isn't a big deal - unless it happens on a regular basis...

Next time (and EVERY time from now on), just catch the previous bus ;););)

Not terminally bad , but a good employee would make sure to get on the bus reallyyyyy early and not be later EVER again .
And make it a point to check in with the boss at least 15 min early .
Keep on being late and you'll be the first one laid off when they need to cut back .

No, but I would make it a point to get there early for the next week or so and try not to be late again.

3 minutes? Did you synchronize your watch with their "master" clock?

Get real. No one cares about three minutes. According to her watch, you might have been ten seconds early.

no they are used to bus problems and such,...just show her you are not going to be late on a contiues basis and make sure she knows your taking a bus so that if it does happen she will understand..only when it is consistant does it effect you...
