Go ahead and believe tax protestor arguments if you wish. They are wrong. The IRS may have lost the CRIMINAL case against Tom Cryer, but they will not lose the CIVIL case. The criminal cases are always harder to win because of the definition of 'willful'. The burden of proof is on the prosecution and the charge is 'willful failure to file'. If the prosecution can't convince the jury that he WILLFULLY failed to file, then the defendant will be acquitted. However, in civil cases, the burden of proof is much more lenient. The prosecution doesn't need to establish the defendant willfully failed to file, only that the defendant didn't file his return and did not pay his taxes. Once that is established and all arguments about law are decided, the judge will find for the prosecution. The Vernice Kuglin case was similar to Tom Cryer's. She also won her criminal trial, but ended up having to pay the IRS over $500,000 on her $920,000 income she had over the six years she did not file. She would have been better off paying her taxes in the first place. The following is a portion of the transcript from her criminal trial. Amazingly, you can read the transcript for yourself on Irwin Schiff's website (another classic tax protestor). The transcripts can also be found at constitution.org website.
Go to volume 5 at http://www.constitution.org/tax/us-ic/kuglin/kuglin_transcript_030808_vol_5.txt
Scroll through that text file until you reach pg. 776 and 777
I've copied it here.
13 THE COURT: That's okay. But there wasn't any
14 big deal about it. That's a little unusual. It's nothing
15 wrong with it in the least, but if somebody comes and
16 tells me about something, I just have to tell these guys,
17 that's the way it works. So anything else from the United
18 States?
19 MR. MURPHY: Just one thing, to put Ms. Kuglin
20 on notice, she has got to pay taxes, I think the court
21 ought to instruct her that that is the law. She has got
22 to file returns and --
23 MR. BECRAFT: Your Honor, that is going to be
24 cleaned up totally.
25 THE COURT: Okay. Well, Mr. Murphy is not
pg 777
1 incorrect that it is the law, and I think what he's also
2 saying is there will still be civil penalties.
3 MR. BECRAFT: I expect probably 90-day letters
4 to be coming pretty quick.
5 THE COURT: Okay.
6 MR. BECRAFT: And there's going to be civil
7 proceedings, and she is going to being take
8 responsibility -- she is going to be doing things to
9 respond to all of that like file returns, Your Honor.
If you want to believe the erroneous logic at truthattack.org, that's your decision. You'll be wrong, and you will end up paying in the long-run.

Income Tax law is international the same. As long as you earn enough regardless your age, you have to pay. Unless you earn below a certain value, then you don't pay. Evading tax is subject to fine and/or jail.

THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL I SAW THEM ON THE INTERNET:
Nobody ever really landed on the moon - it was a giant hoax. What you saw on TV was filmed in Utah.
Elvis is still alive.
It is unconstitutional for the government to tax your wages (income tax), and most of what we think of as income isn't really income anyway.
Excuse me now....I just won 2 million pounds in the online UK lottery when my email was randomly selected, and I have to go answer the email.....

Good grief - This nonsense will forever rear its ugly head. The answer is no. You do not need to pay taxes if:
A) You earn nothing, or
B) You like prison life

This is false. US citizens are taxed on all income, regardless of whether that income is from foreign or domestic sources.

Yeah, try not paying.... see what happens...
We gotta pay. I have seen that video, people have tried to not pay, and they get whacked.
The only people who dont have to pay taxes are those that make little or no money.... the rest of us are screwed... and the more you make, the more you get screwed.

It is implied that you have to pay taxes on your personal income however, they are the ones with the guns, the IRS power, etc. therefore consider yourself bullied into paying it or else.

Not this crap again. Try not filing a tax return, and you'll find out exactly how legal taxes are.
