First of all, thank you to the person who answered my previous Excel question! It was exactly what I needed.

One section of my spreadsheet is % increase/decrease in sales. The equation is:

+(J12-D12)/D12

J12 is sales for June '07
D12 is sales for June '06

#1 When there is a decrease, I change the negative figure to red. I've figured out how to do that, but not in addition to the equation.

#2 Sometimes, last year's sales were zero and the increase/decrease shows up as the error "DIV/0!". I change those to "n/a"...So I'd like to be able to make that automatic also.

So, I have the original equation. I want to have the font automatically change to red when negative. And I want "DIV/0!" to automatically show up as "n/a"....Is this possible?!

Ok here's the problem. There's a sale going on at one of my favorite store. I recieved a 20% off coupon. I found something I wanted that costs around $120 dollars. Sales tax here in California is 7.750%. Don't know if I have enough money but, before I go out and purchase the stuff, I need to know step by step on how to find the grand total (after tax and after the 20% off)? Please help as the sale and coupon is going to expire in a few day. Please make steps as simple as possible as I'm really stupid when it comes to math. Thanks alot in advance.

What happens when a private company merges into a public company already trading on an exchange? Are the existing shareholders shares of stock worth anything, and if they are, what is the value of the existing shares? Ex: If "ABC" company is trading on an exchange and is a "clean shell", what is the value of the shares after they merge with "XYZ" company? Do the existing shareholders get bought out or are they allowed to keep their shares and just roll over into the new company with a new name. Who sets the new price for the shares to be traded under the new name?

was given a atm/debit card by Charter One Bank at age 17 and the age requirement was 18.I've accidentally overdrawn out of my account and accumulated a bill of over $300,was unable to pay it and it's been sent to collections.I'm 18 now.But the entire purpose Banks set these age requirements is because of the responsiblity that comes along with managing a Atm/Debit card.Which I admit.I wasn't responsible enough to handle and wasn't aware of how you can overdraw your account. So basically my question is.Can my bank be held responsible (similar to how a liquor store could be held responsible for selling aclohol to a minor and they go out and get into an accident killing someone)would a court of law force them to waive the fee or even pay me damages for the trouble?

my credit report.

He and I both have excellent credit scores (mine is 793, his about the same). The only debt we have is our mortgage, ONE credit card balance, and what's left on his school loan. The credit card is under my name only, so it would only be on MY credit report. I realize my credit report can be requested by the loan officer and be seen by the loan officer. I'm wondering if I can possibly get through this WITHOUT my husband seeing the credit card balance. I've talked to one person (who works in the mortgage dept of my bank) and she said since everything about our credit looks good (high score, payments being made on time, etc.) that the credit report might not even be mentioned by the officer when it's time to sign papers for the house. I'm in KY, if that makes any difference.

PLEASE HELP.......I know it's my own fault that he doesn't know of the balance. I'm sick about it all and a nervous wreck. Please don't give me the advice to tell him...i just can't.

I applied for an online loan through Canadian Loan Group based at
145 King St. W
Toronto, Ont.
M5H 1V8
on July 14, 2007. The next day I received an e-mail from Mr. Billy Daly(Dailey) who stated I was approved for a loan and to call him at my earliest convenience! Regardless what the email stated after I filled out the online application they they would contact me! I called Bill and was told I was approved for $5,000.00CA to $10,000.00CA but would have to send in a security deposit which they would hold until after the payments were made in 5 years as I have no credit and I am starting fresh to re-build my credit.
Bill e-mailed me the forms to fill out and sign and fax back to him which I did and then off I went to another city to send the required money gram! Upon my return home I immediately called Mr. Bill Daly(Dailey) to give him the referance # and was told to wait 24 to 48 hours for the funds. No funds and so was told to call Customer Care at (416)2338420 and so I wait!

I work for a team, and they are usually on the field. So the best way for me to communicate something is by text. Lately, one of them had been replied back in capital letters. If there is something that he doesn't like he sends me text like that. I had been working for them for almost 6 years, and time to time any of them start treating me very demanding. I had been very supportive of them, 'cause I need the job. But lately, I feel confused and sometimes even ignored, or just bellitled. Last week, I had to take my husband to the airport, and I was late. I was very reprimended over the phone. But they never take in consideration, that even when is my break time, I do answer his phone calls, or on weekends or late at nite. Sometimes I work overtime, without being paid for that. I though that time may could compensate for that. They are going under a lot of stress, but I don't think I have to pay a share of that, too. Is this a signal that I should start looking for another job?

For example, calling constantly, getting into extremely personal business (one asked what kind of example we were setting for our kids by not paying this bill) and being overly rude? Today, a collector from the same company as all of the complaints above said "Why the hell did you answer your phone then?" when my husband said he was at work and could not really talk. Is there anything we can do? we've tried setting up payment arrangements and they've demanded for payment all at once and we simply don't have the money for that. This is in Texas
