I had a small traditional IRA, about $3000, that I just closed last week. I'm 26 years old. I didn't withhold any taxes because I wasn't sure whether or not I had to. I closed it without withholding any, so when I have to do my taxes next year, what do I have to do? Is 10% automatically going to get deducted from my return? I don't want to get in trouble and I know a certain percentage has to go back, so just wanted to know what happens next. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I see so many jobs advertised for PA's that require a PA to book travel arrangements. The thing is, I live quite a sheltered life and although I currently do secretarial work, I've never flown or been abroad and wonder if this may prevent me from being able to do these duties. I've no idea about planes, flights or countries. Do you think this may hinder me from getting on?

My sister has opened an ebay shop and undercut the prices of her biggest competitor, however its been days since her listings went on and no bids, questions or watchers - her rival is selling left right & centre whats going on? she has pretty good feedback (100%) - How can she boost her business extremely cost effectively?

My grandmother has recently discovered gas on her property, and is generously dividing her monthly EOG checks between her children. Each month, she is giving my dad (and each sibling) about $10,000. What is a guess-timation of what he will have to pay in taxes (a range) on this money? (He is retired, and has no income).
P.S. I ask because one of the siblings has told my grandmother to stop giving monthly checks (to all of them), because SHE doesn't want to have to pay taxes. But wouldn't the remaining money be worth whatever the taxes are? I am confused at her logic...

I want to purchase an undervalued single family home in las vegas. It is comped at 570-600 thousand and others in the area are listed in the 650s and up. Its a 3300sq ft 4 bdroom home. they are taking offers for 4 weeks and the listed price is 400k. They said that the best offer after the 4 weeks will get the home. if I offer 425k and get the home, will i be able to cash out refi immediately for 525k plus Closing costs and pull out 100k, then put in on the market for 565k. Would that be a smart move or is it illegal to refi within a year?

So I had a bad experience with my last realtor who was always trying to up the price of what I could afford and it would "just be 40 dollars more to live in a place that you really want".

So I complain about it to my friend who recently got his licence and I told him I got a new realtor. Then that friend is all of a sudden looking for a home for me, and has found the "PERFECT" home he says, and he seen it, and it is "JUST RIGHT FOR ME" and he knows the guy trying to sell it and he is a "GREAT GUY"

I am sick of realtors. After all that both of these guys don't have a clue. I am sick of re-explaining what I want in a home.

Just because I am a young woman, and a first time home buyer does not make me dumb. HELL NO i am not paying 210,000 to live in the ghetto!!!!

lawn has drainage issues,these werent fixed. he just resodded.over area he tore up trying to fix problem.contract states "to be fixed to buyers satisfaction" and to be fixed in 1 year or as soon as possible. it was 11 months and 3 weeks.thinking of suing him in small claims court and having someone else fix it.
I am turning him in and trying to get his builders license revoked.
