I see so many jobs advertised for PA's that require a PA to book travel arrangements. The thing is, I live quite a sheltered life and although I currently do secretarial work, I've never flown or been abroad and wonder if this may prevent me from being able to do these duties. I've no idea about planes, flights or countries. Do you think this may hinder me from getting on?

Hi Poopsy-Ive been a PA for nearly 10 years and travel has always been part of my roles. Most companies have travel agencies they use for travel so all you need to know is when your boss is travelling, where to, etc (you know, common sense, basic knowledge) call the usual agency and they do all the hard work for you. If youve got further q's about specific jobs then feel free to drop me a line and I'll try and help out. Good luck!xx

No it won't.

I have NEVER left England, and one of my previous jobs required me to arrange travel in Europe, and to Bardados.

Well it's got to be easier than pretending to be a doctor or a pilot
