I took a rich dad seminar and it was helpful, very helpful, but it was a total marketing venture! it taught what to look for and a few key words, but when you try to get somewhere based on what you learned, you get the run around, can anyone help me so I don't feel like I wasted $500?

Join a Real Estate Investors' Club in your area.

I am a member in my area and it is great. There are hundreds of ways of making money in Real Estate.

Also, remember that education is an investment. You didn't waste your money. One seminar will not teach you all you need to know.

Best of luck to you.

The other way to make money is to buy houses and flip them, which means doing repairs and reselling them.

But not knowing what you were taught I can't give you anything beyond that, I have no clue what type of investing you want to get into, or anything else for that matter. Elaborate more next time to get added help.

The way most get into it is keeping your old house when you buy a new one then renting out the old house. I don't know anyone who did it any other way. If you don't currently own a house try to get a duplex to live in then when you move out keep it.
