I applied for an online loan through Canadian Loan Group based at
145 King St. W
Toronto, Ont.
M5H 1V8
on July 14, 2007. The next day I received an e-mail from Mr. Billy Daly(Dailey) who stated I was approved for a loan and to call him at my earliest convenience! Regardless what the email stated after I filled out the online application they they would contact me! I called Bill and was told I was approved for $5,000.00CA to $10,000.00CA but would have to send in a security deposit which they would hold until after the payments were made in 5 years as I have no credit and I am starting fresh to re-build my credit.
Bill e-mailed me the forms to fill out and sign and fax back to him which I did and then off I went to another city to send the required money gram! Upon my return home I immediately called Mr. Bill Daly(Dailey) to give him the referance # and was told to wait 24 to 48 hours for the funds. No funds and so was told to call Customer Care at (416)2338420 and so I wait!

This is a scam! Advance fees or "security deposits" are illegal. Contact the OPP and report this. For some unknown reason, Toronto and Ontario are havens for this type of scam.

Additionally, if you have provided these scammers with your bank details, IMMEDIATELY notify your bank! They now have all the information that they need to drain your account. CALL YOUR BANK AS SOON AS YOU READ THIS!

I have never applied for that kind of loan because I felt that it was a catch to it. If I am approved for a lon, why should I have to send them a security deposit. It was a loan, you were not renting an apartment. You you check with the beter business bureau next time before you give someone all your personal information on-line and send them your money. I hope that you get an answer soon, but not likely.

A friend of mine bought into this. After he sent his security deposit he never heard from them again. BE VERY CAREFUL OR YOU WILL GET BURNED!
