I was evicted about a year ago from now and was wondering how I can get it off my record? Do I just pay it back to the apartment company or is there a collection agency I contact?

The collection agency has yet to contact me. However, the apartment company has sent me a bill and the amount owed is on my credit report (via freecreditreport.com).

You cannot 'fix it'. You need to pay it off in order for it to show up on your credit report as settled. However, it DID occur and will remain on your credit report for seven years.

if a collection agency has NOT contacted you, then call the apt company and ask them, I'm sure they'll be glad to take your money
