Have been apt resident manager 1 yr now for property management company in Oregon which acquires only low end dinosaur properties ($600 mthly & less). They send own maintenance 3 to 6 weeks after requests, entire office staff is inconsistent, they drive me nuts! My $600 rent is comped plus $100 per month. Have an opportunity to work for higher end company in different county for apt ($1,200 mo. value), health benefits, 401k, generous salary. 1st company has a "noncompetitive" clause for 3 years. Properties the 1st manages in no way competes with the 2nd company.
What can they do to me if I give the 2 week notice and go earn more money than what they will pay me?

I own some property here in Arkansas that I owe around 41k on. I plan on selling it for at least 80k-110k. My question is what should I look for on the capital gains end of the deal. How much am I looking at paying? I've own the property for over 2 years.

I have accumulated a nice amount of assets simply by saving and investing. Some of it before I got married, some while married. Now I want to divorce but don't want her to get half of the funds. We have a joint account that has a little bit of money that I don't mind splitting with her, but my personal funds I want to hide. There are obviously records of what is in there today, and will be records of any withdrawals I make between now and the divorce. I was thinking about withdrawing the funds, purchasing gold or high valued coins, and storing them in a safety deposit box listed in my mother's name. During the divorce will I be held accountable for funds that were once in my personal account but are now gone? Does anyone have a better idea on how to move the funds out of my accounts and out of the site of the divorce laywers? PS - she doesn't know I am planning on divorcing her yet. I want to figure out this money thing first. Please help.

My boyfriend and I are planning on buying a condo together. He wants to get a VA loan but it would only cover him because we are not married. They do not allow unmarried couples to get the loan together. Does anyone know if it's true that for a VA loan they only approve you for a certain dollar amount like $150,000? If so, could he apply for $150,000 from VA office and me apply for $150,000 from a regular bank? Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

There is an entry-level job I am going to apply to, and I'm not sure who I should send it to. I know the name of the man - and have his e-mail - who would do the hiring for my particular job. However, on the company website, they provide a specific "career" e-mail, and mention that resumes, etc. should be sent to this address.

My second problem. If I send my resume and cover letter to this "career" e-mail address, should I change my cover letter to NOT be addressed to this guy (it is addressed to him now)? Or should I just leave it as it is?

If I see a tick of +200 or higher, and trin of .9 or less, does that mean it is a good time to buy the stock? Or do I have that backwards?

I know nothing is an exact science, but generally speaking, what are the tick and trin values to look for when I am ready to buy and when I'm ready to sell stock?

ONLY SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE....I don't need any smart alec comments...I need help that I can't seem to find anywhere...I've gone to debt consolidation cos. that refuse to work with me because after I give them all the figures I'm in the negative ALOT....I have a family of 6 and my husband works about 70hrs a week ....It's not feasable for me to get a job because of the ages of my children...i would be spending what I make every week on daycare....I need some good sensible advice...I need nothing short of a miracle....

i was wondering how my salary ranks to others in the US because salaries are private topics like the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. So i was just wondering.....
