I have a criminal record. A misdemeanor for shoplifting. Once I get it expunged can I still qualify to be president, mayor of a town, or a CEO of a company?

If you work downtown and use the parking meters instead of the ramps, can you claim that on your taxes or do you actually have to use the parking ramps? Does anyone know the answer to this? And should your employers remiburst you or at least help you with a fraction of the cost?

Ok so I asked how do I come up with $2000 and a few of you suggested loan from your bank like a cash loan. I wanted to know are they fairly easy to get. I mean I have like collateral if that's what they need and my mom can possibly co-sign she makes like $20 an hour.

This is my first time working as a retail sales associate. They say they will pay me $7.75 per hour, I have an associates degree. This seems really low to me. Considering the fact that most jobs here in Chicago pay like at least $8 per hour.
I know LEGALLY minimum wage is now $7.50 per hour in Chicago, but considering my education and the fact that I do have customer service, cash handling, and retail inventory experience am I being cheated here?

We have a small repair machinery business. we want to move interstate and build up again. Hubby wants to sell the Vic state business. I don't want to sell the name. I want the same name if we start again elsewhere. Is this right? Should we just sell everything and name a new company when we do decide to do it again?

i had a small debt of $91.33 which is big to me because i am a high school student and i only have a part time job. so my bank is Wells Fargo and i had a debt with them for $91.33 i paid in cash to get that off and clear my name off the credit burou thing and i told them in person to CANCEL my card i do not want to use it anymore...and i also tore up the card and trew it away...now they are charging my overdraft fees and it is back up in the negative place again it is -$59.88 i am getting sick of this but i also need help what should i do?

I sent him rent for the month of July and he claims he never got it. I keep copies of everything so I faxed him copies of the moneyorders and the stubs so that he had proof that I sent it. This week he still states he never got it and ask for a stop and reissue. That is fine, but when he finds out it is going to take up to 30days for the refund to be turned around he sends me an email stating whats happening with his rent so he can get me to send more. He also stated that this happend a few weeks back with another tenant, but refuses to believe that there may be a problem on his end. IE someone tampering with the mail. What would you do? And can he evict me and my family ( Me, Husband, & toddler) Also he is an attorney...

When you turn on the television really late at night/ early in the morning there are a ton of late night informercials geared towards promoting systems that can make people money. Has anyone tried these money making plans or have any feedback on these late night shows. To me, they all come off as pyramid schemes, but Ive never tried them so I really dont know. I live in Florida. I had moved into an apartment with a few friends back in 2002. I had to break the lease bc of the situation with my friends and them not wanting to pay the rent etc. Yes I know BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!! So now its showing up on my credit. I have also seen in the public records that they took me to court BUT I never was notified to be in court. Aren't they suppose to notify me by law?? IF so how can I dispute this??

I'm leaving the apartment I live in now due to how unsafe they are and I was wondering since there evicting me because I never paid rent for July can they notify my new apartments and get them to deny me? I'm signing my new lease tomorrow and giving them money to hold my apartment until I come up with the rest on Thursday since I have to go to the bank to get it Wednesday. Yesterday as Im opening my mail, I find a credit card statement. but here's the thing I don't have any credit cards. I pick up the phone to call them and report fraud but after hearing the last five purchases, I put down the phone. I know my Mother shops at ever store that was on "my" credit card. I asked her when she came home is she put a credit card in my name. She said yes, to help me out while I was away at college. She was going to send it to me but some things came up so she used it. She was going to pay it back before I graduated and came home. But I've been home from college since May and the card is Maxed out, she has been paying on it, late. Is there a way I can get it off of my credit report without getting her into trouble? As mad as I am she is still my Mother.
