and if it does like in how long would it be when i would first noticed on my score. And what other things will bring it up.

Well, SCH and my homegirl L-Boogie are correct...To an extent.
They're correct that cellphone accounts do not report to the "big 3" credit bureaus to report credit. However, that doesn't mean that it can't. There's a new credit bureau that is changing the way credit is reported.
PRBC is a new credit bureau that reports accounts like cellphone, utilities, cable, insurance, and more importantly RENT as "alternative credit" that can be considered with the "big 3" credit reports in order to build credit. I posted a link to their website where you can see for yourself.

Sorry, as a general rule, cell phone companies do not report to the credit bureaus. The only time you will see them on your report is if you don't pay your bill and they send your account to collections.
The only things that will bring up your scores are: 1) paying your bills on time and 2) reducing yoru debt ratio.
You would have to open a credit card, obtain a car loan or personal loan, obtain a mortgage loan, or obtain a personal loan (from a bank or credit union). Those will show up on your report and establish a credit history for you.

No utility companies do not report to the credit bureau...the only time it shows up is if you default on the contract.
Anything that deals with credit will bring your score up...ie credit cards, auto loans, mortgages.
