Hello! I'm a first time home buyer. I just went through a home inspection and walked through with the inspector. We found a few major things and I have some questions about that.

Well, we found that these people don't have a carbon monoxide detector and their smoke alarm is kind of messed up.

Also-the furnace doesn't light automatically. The sellers have had to manually light it with a match when they want to use it.

Finally, the garage door closes and opens well, but sometimes has a minor pausing problem.

I know that not every home is perfect, but I love this place and I'm afraid that the sellers won't agree to fix anything or give me a credit for anything and then this stuff to fix will cost so much that I wont' be able to afford it, or worse, my wife will turned off by this home!

From your experience, do the sellers normally pay for these fixes. These sellers are stubborn so it worries me!

I'd talk to my attorney but he takes a while to call back!

Thanks!

I recieved a call from my roommates boss that she was fired....I was a little bit concerned. When I called her...no answer, she never came by....close to the 1st....I still did not recieve anything, plus she was smoking marijuana in my apt...and I did not approve of that...so I posted a note explaining she has been evicted.... On July 3rd, she came into my apartment. While retrieving her things she damaged my door...and other property. I called the police and she has been charged with vandalism. The next day, while I should be having fun on the 4th of July...she is calling and harassing....claiming she was going to sue....which is nut...because she has not establish residence here..... Any help here???

My boyfriend & I have been together for 8 yrs. & we have 2 children ages 4 & 5. I am a stay-at-home-mom because I have one child home and one who will start school in Aug. We live in the state of Georgia where the public school system sucks. We both agree that we need to put both of the chlidren in private school. We did not search for a private school early enough to start my 5 year old this year, so she will start public school in August and Private school with our other child next year.My boyfreind makes around $2,500-$2,900 per month. Our monthly expense total to around $1,600-$1,900 per month keeping in mind we don't have a car. We are about to purchase a car & so my 1st issue is the type of car we should get.I want a good, reliable car (Honda)that cost under $9,000 so that we can pay it off quickly. He wants a Chrysler 300 for around $16,000 & I'm like "hell NO" & on top of that he wants to buy rims $1,000+ as if having the car is not enough.

Sears was charging a rate of 26% interest rate, maybe that's fine and legal, but they made up for it with all kinds of service charges. On a $2,000 dollar bill, if I sent in a min. payment of $50. , only $2. would go to the principal, the rest went to service charges. At that rate I would be paying for the rest of my life, I stopped paying altogether, now my credit is all messed up. Was what they were doing legal?

Say you have a car that's paid off and you could get $15,000 for it. And if you sold it, you could pay off your credit card debt in full. Then you'd go out and buy a new car for around $300 a month (cheaper than what your credit cards cost per month!). Would that be a wise decision?
