There are only a couple that are legit.
Surveyspot.com is free and I made 12 dollars today so not that bad, however you can't keep working as there are not unlimited surveys. You get around 8 dollars per hour which isn't too bad.
You also get chances to get some cool prizes.

I recently signed up for http://www.choozz.com/ too. Looks pretty legit and it should be fun.

Surveys are for the most part supposed to be fun, you have the potential to get an iPod but that should not be your goal.

If you're over 18 you can sign up to many sites and get surveys that pay 10 dollars or so but take 35 minutes to complete.

Most of the things about making money on the web is crap, but there are a few good sites.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE TOOLBAR MENTIONED ABOVE. This is clearly spyware. It tracks your searches and they may or may not pay you, but it is 100% spyware and is going to slow down your computer and give you "Ads that are related to your searches".

You do not get payed like the on line surveys say.
You get points to enter "competitions" to win prizes .... Money etc. They are not worth the time or the effort... you might aswell offer to cut the neighbors lawn for $5 you will earn more in the long run...
Its the same with a lot of these ads on tv..... you know the ones.... " I made $5000 yesterday in two hours." I made enough this month I bought a new house."
Again the majority what I call semi scams..... that is you are not cheating people but you are gaining money off them for doing somthing they could do themselves. For example...Millions of people are owed money by HUD as when they buy their first home they pay mortgage insurance to HUD which is held. When these peopel sell thier home and move they dont realise they can get the money them selves.
What these companies do is sell you a list of peoples names and addresses who are owed money ... Usual cost is $200-600 and you contact each person offering to help them get the money if you give them a % .. usually 10-25%...
People think wow i cant get the money on my own so they aggree ans these people get the same forms these people would get from Hud and file them with a copy of the persons mortgage pay off .... which they get for free from the county public records....
People dont realise the can do these things for themselves so they give these people basically money for nothing...
HUD is aware of this and trying to stop it... To be honest i only found out because we were owed a lot by hud and we got 15 letters offering help to get the money ranging from cost of $25 to $800.... I called hud to ask if it was true that we were owed the money and they told me not to pay these scammers ( in their words) they would send me the form and low and behold i got the form and got my money within a month.
Also they push tax sales where you buy the tax certificate on someones home who cant pay taxes.... again this is difficult and you dont get the home.... the bank always has first option..... If you are lucky the people pay the tax and you get money back......
So take care ... nothing is ever as easy as these people say.....

I have tried free paid online surveys before, only to find my e-mail account swarmed with tons of junk e-mails. I also receive strange calls from companies that I never have contact with, asking me to buy their products. So what I can infer is that the survey company sold my information to other companies to make money.

A paid survey program called Maximum Paid Surveys is doing well for me. If you are interested, you can read my review here: http://hubpages.com/hub/maximumpaidsurve...

I hope this helps.
