I bought a hud home 6 years ago and found it on a list online free. I am now trying to buy another house the same way and am running into websites that want to charge fees. Any sites out there that will not charge me for this info? Thanks in advance,
trying to upgrade into a larger home.

I mean lets say you get $500 credit for donating a car and my taxes were $2000. So now when I file for taxes, do I get $500 off my tax returns (which means I pay $1500 in tax) or only a % (which will be your normal tax deduction) of 500 off ( which means I get relief 25% of 500 which is 125) tax returns?

I am a Realtor I have had a listing for about 8 months now, orginally we priced the home close to it's apprasied vaule.. after months and months on the market with no offers the sellers lowered the price. Yesterday we got TWO offers one was very low and not even to be considered the other one was only $5000 away from the asking price.. I agreed to take 1% off my commision to make it a difference of only $2800.

The sellers have a daguhter that is willing to move into the house now so they are not that desperate to sell but I ask this.. if you had the opporutnity to sell for a difference of $2800 would you??

What else could I do as the agent to help them? I don't really want to see them go thru this again when the daughter moves out in a year or so..

Thanks!

I have to file a small claims in court and wanted to know if you can legally collect for finance charges. I work for a small company and send out monthly statements religiously at the first of every month. Well on these statements, it clearly states that all past due balances over 30 days will be assessed a 1.5% interest charge. Well like I said, I am filing in SMC today on a deadbeat payer and wanted to know if I am legally able to collect these fees? I have heard in the past that you couldnt.

P.S. I will be filing in Michigan!

I prefer to find someone that owns a house that is renting out a room rather than an apartment. Any website that I've seen (roomster, etc) you have to pay to check your messeges. I'm not going to pay 30 dollars a month fo that. Does anyone know of any FREE websites where I can try to find someone in my area (Illinois) that is renting out a room or apartment?

"Is there anything I can do to force the buyers of my home to get their financing? There are no contingencies and it is a straight forward, solid contract. They had 30 days to obtain financing, it is now 60 days since the signing of the contract, they have asked for extensions, which I gave them, but they still have done nothing. They keep saying they want it and just need one more week. But I hear that EVERY week. I'm tired of being walked on, yet I really need my house to sell. Its in a hard to sell town (country area, no city). I also have a contract on a house for myself contingent upon the closing of this contract. I'm afraid I will lose the house I wanted to move into if this contract falls through. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. Also, my real estate agent is from a well known national agency and has never came across this before. She has also asked other agents and they are all dumbfounded as to why the buyers would still be dragging their feet."

I went to withdraw money from a local bank ATM before opening hours. The machine spit my card out and said they could not process transaction at this time try again later. But they still deducted the 300.00 from my account and did not give me a receipt. What is my recourse will the bank release the funds to me?

My husband was injured on the job on March 19 of this year. He fell approx. 10 feet off a ladder, and landed miraculously on his feet. Unfortunately he landed on one foot, on pointy big rocks, and severely bruised his heel. He's been off work now for 3 months, was in a "boot" for almost the entire time, went to a podiatrist every two weeks, and went through physical therapy. The doctor only gave him a 2% rating, and the insurance company is only offering him $1,000 even though he was only paid 2/3 of his pay during his time off. He has lost at least $150 a week being off work. We were trying not to hire an attorney because we didn't want to drag this out. Does anyone know what a reasonable settlement offer would be? Help please, the bills are stacking up!!!
