In the journal entries or in the adding up the balances. As long as the entries add up to zero, then it is in to calculation of the balances or the addition of the entries.
Is it divisible by 9? It could be a transposition error. 72 for 27, etc.

Double check all of your entries. It could be something as simple as reversing numbers. Make sure you deposits are deposits and your debits are being subtracted, etc. If you have been looking at it for too long, have a co-worker take a look. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes can pick it out.

It could be in any transaction. Review recent transactions. There is no easy way to do it. Just back-track.
