For a while now I am being accused of things that are completely untrue due to rumours being spread around my company. For example, a while back a family member was rather ill and I needed to take time off to take care of them. I took this time as holiday that i was entitled too . I was then confronted by my boss saying I had lied about the family member to get time off work. Considering I was entitled to the time off I had no reason to lie, so why wld I? This has been going on for so long that i handed in my 1 mnths notice last week. today i got sent home from work b/c a collegue asked me if i had heard a rumour about her being spread and i said yes and also said i couldnt be sure of the source. she then confronted this person and my boss got involved. This collegue then claimed I told her to confront the other person, I did not!!! My boss told me to go immediately and that on monday i wld be told as to whether i still had a job!! I beleive im being harrassed? what should i do?

If a loan/line of credit says no collateral required does that mean that no personal guarantee is needed either? If not what is the difference? Wouldn't a personal guarantee be like collateral?

Do you think its fair to pay £75.61p A WEEK tax to the government. That £75.61 a week is made up of PAYE Tax and National Insurance.

Cause i think its daylight robbery.

People at work have been complaining that the companys retirement plan sucks. We have 403b matching up to 3% and they put another 3percent without us having to do anything. Most people don't do it. All they have to do is open the accound and they get 3 percent free but they don't.
Now they are asking the company for 401k plans and the company refused saying we already have a really good plan and you can do it on your own if you want.

So why do they think 401K plans are so great? I'm thinking it is just them being stupid.

We had a lease agreement with an apartment complex for 1 year, we fulfilled our lease agreement and signed a new lease agreement for the up-coming year, unfortunatly we had to break it 3 months & 11 days early as we purchased our first home. We handed our Apt. Manager our 30 day written notice they appeard to have no problems with this but did in fact tell us we'd have to pay close to 3000.00 in fees for breaking our lease...but also said "don't worry about it we'll work something out" a good 3 months went by and we heard nothing from anyone, We now have been getting calls from an aggressive collection agency wanting to recorver that $3000.00. Any suggestions or advice. We do feel we owe for the 3 months & 11 days we left early but they are seeking a thousand or so more $ than what our rent even would equal up to in 3 months time, adding consessions/breaking the lease fees etc, they say they will take us to court/garnish wages and put a lean on our house. HELP!!!

I am planning on starting a home-based small business (pet bakery) and was wondering if anyone has used Yahoo's Small Business plans, like the domain name, web page support, etc. and what their experience was. It seems like a good deal, but I'm wondering if the basic, Yahoo supplied webpage will look too cookie cutter and if a more customized webpage would be better. I appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I'm about to go into full time work for the first time, as i am leaving college, and i know nothing about employment law and contracts. I really want a new car, which i will be able to afford with the pay from my new job as a trainee accountant. The thing is, i don't want to take out the loan if I don't have security that I won't just get fired for no reason. What rights do i have? Is it reasonable for me to request that I be given a longer period of notice than the law requires? Is it likely that they'll let me put that into the contract? and does this override the fact that by law they only have to give me 24 hours notice within the first 4 weeks? Please help, i'm confused

Thanks for sensible answers

She will likely be going to a smaller apt.

Would any of you with real estate or home buying/selling experience leave the great room furniture and the bedroom furniture so the house would show better and live on bare bones at the new apt?

Or, would you just empty the house of furniture, take it all to the new apt. and let it show that way?

Or, should she ask her single friend and new co-worker she will be working with who has a HUGE house with extra bedrooms available if she can stay with her until her house sells?

Thanks!
