Situation: Worked full-time (40 hrs w/benefits) for a consulting company,but recently laid off, and working part time as a independent contractor(work at home - very part time <10hrs) and Real Estate agent(only 1 sale this year), and currently as a PRN substitute teacher(very part-time - 0 hours this year). Would I receive unemployment benefits? I need a full time job and advise!!

You have to report any earnings, on your weekly claim for benefits. You can draw partial unemployment, if your earnings are not over your benefit amount. But it is illegal to not report it, and if caught, you could lose your benefits entirely. Be truthful, report your earnings, if anything is deducted from your weekly claim benefits, it extends your claim longer anyway, or that's the way it was, when I worked for that dept. for 30 years. Law are different from State to State and change faster that I can keep up with them.
