I started working at a food place, my first job ever. I have never had cashier expirience. They put me up front almost immediately and it was so intimidating. The menu machine is so confusing when you look at it..it looks like too many buttons and the customers say their orders way too fast. I had such a bad time. I couldnt remember what they ordered for drinks, I would forget how much change they gave me..it was messy. I was nervous and some of the customers made it harder. I felt like I was slowing things down. I feel like I will never get the hang of this stupid job...any suggestions from expirienced workers?

My friend lives in a governement subsidized apartment complex. Summer is almost here and it is going to be hot!!! It seems to me that it should be illegal not to allow them to have air conditioners.

hi. im a junior in a top 30 university (US news) double majoring in business administration and psychology. i am thinking of potential careers to get into where i can meet a potential husband who is intelligent, loyal and financially stable.

i am physically attractive, but i've been played by soooo many (frat) guys who are players. i made the mistake of joining a sorority and ended up meeting a lot of shady (frat) guys. i don't want to make the same mistake with my career.

and would you say it's bad to work with your husband? like co workers. or be in the same field as your husband?

an advice i want. for example, i was talking to a frat guy (who was like 40 yrs old, so he's pretty wise?!) last night and he was telling me to be a pharmaceutical rep. as i'll get to meet many physicians and doctors through the job, and it's relatively decent pay.

big generalisation but would you say doctors have many girls going for them, i don't want that much competition...

I live in Southeast Asia and in the country where I'm in the rate for Small Denomination Treasury SDT- bonds are currently 13.625%p.a.
I am considering putting some money into it. would it be wise to do so? What are the risks in investing in treasury bonds?

i was careless with money when i was younger, and now i owe money to 3 major credit card companies (Bank of America, Citi, Chase) i was able to settle with Citi, so i'm not worried about them, and they were my biggest debt, but now i have Chase threatning to sue me for only $2300. do you think they will sue? i have the money to pay them off, but they want too much. they want $500, but i can only send now $100. do i send the $100 or call them, or what?? please help! thanks!

the irs contacted my work and said they were taking my paycheck, i did a sidejob and got cut a check, if i go to cash it at my bank can they keep it? its for 1000 dollars so i dont want to risk it, my bank never sent me anything about the irs

we made an offer on a house & from our understanding we had the highest offer but now they want us to give them a "highest and best" offer. the realtor told my boyfriend that they were going with our offer until they found out it would be bought with a VA loan. she said the seller (which is a finance company) doesn't like to deal with VA loans because they rarely can pass the house inspections & they have had problems with the VA loans. the lady from the VA said they only inspection they "require" is a termite inspection & not a house inspection. she is contacting the realtor. does this sound right or does it sound like discrimination?

He owns the large expensive DC house with no mortgage. I just got first full time job in DC making a decent salary. We are domestic partners - cannot legally get married. Some people argue I shouldn't even be paying monthly "rent" to him but I figure I would pay anywhere I live. Should I also be responsible for a part of all utilities including electric, gas, telephone, etc. or is my "rent payment" which is slightly high but average for DC (950/month) enough? I don't know what the common best thing to do is.

I have a prepayment penalty on my mortgage but it might be worth it to refinance my home before the 2 year requirement is up. Is that something that I can do? I already have about 30K+ of equity in my home and i know that my prepayment penalty is about 4K if I were to sell it right now
Also what is involved with refinancing your home? Do you have to go through the same credit check/employment crap like the first time?
ok here are my details...
both my husband and I have different jobs. His job is commision based and i work A LOT less hours than I used to.

We have 2 mortgages because we are young and that was the way we could get into a house
first payment is 820 at 7.7% interest
second payment is 323 at 11% interest.
I am just looking to refinance and not take any money out. just to lower our payments. to pay off both loans it would be 160k, and that would include the prepayment penalty.

we both have really good credit but I am thinking the job thing might be a problem??

I've read several postings regarding condo associations and the enforceability of the rules. In some cases, people have been able to challenge and win.

I ask because the market I own is in the pits for selling real-estate, but actually seeing a very tight rental market. I consider many of the condo rules to be limiting and probably lowering our potential value compared to competitive buildings that have more liberal rules.
