It seems to me that alot of people are absolutely confused about what exactly needs to happen, and in what steps they should happen.

Yes they certainly do.. it amazes me how little some people know about the process. Why are we not teaching these kinds of things in schools.. the things we all really need to know to make it in life.. like how to invest, how to manage your credit & how to buy a home.. etc.. More education is nessasary for sure!

I would have to agree 110% with your analysis, given some of the questions I have encountered in this forum. It seems that many folks get stars in their eyes when they see a house they love, and are willing to sign whatever is put in front of them, regardless of whether or not they can afford same.
